Who's car is this
weird, taht say that. its not that uncommon. heck, they even put the turbos in the back of this car

Pictures might have to wait til i can get it on a lift again. I'll look to see what i have now, but i don't think i have much under the car.
The turbo kit started as a corvette rear mount kit, but honestly, there is nothing left about the original kit other that the turbos themself. The Full setup was designed and fabricated by Bobby at CIN. Funny thing is, Rick Squire, owner of STS, told Bobby that his rear mount intercooler set up wouldn't work at all. at 14lbs of boost, intake temps were in the 90's on the day the car was tuned.

uncommon on the Z. As a matter of fact its uncommon to most on the boards which is why so many are so interested. And of course the universal design of the rear mount may be common but bobbys work and how HE did things are not. Know what i mean?
If the weather is good tomorrow, I'll see about taking some high res pictures and posting them up. I'll tyr to capture as much detail as possible, but some of the stuff in the car isn't easily identifiable and needs to be pointed out and explained.

Hey i didn't know you were located so close to me. I'd love to take a look at this in person sometime. I have contemplated an ls z for awhile but still wanted to run turbos or a turbo and your car was one of the first I've seen with this. I am very happy that you saw this thread. Btw, you have an amazing machine.

Thats fine as long as it works. Also every swap I've seen is having issues with the factory tach. Why don't they just use a converter box for the tach signal like this one
http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.c...127/prd127.htm
That way they can use the factory tach. I don't know if any of the people have tried anything like this before or if anyone has had any experience with this type of product before. By the way I don't know the quality of the product I posted the link for I just googled tach converter and found this.

The info I have is that box will not work. The Nissan tach signal is processed through the CANBUS and without the math formula it is using to turn the signal into what the tach interputs it will not correctly control the stepper motor in the tach.
I have a spare center console out at a techs place now, he is seeing if he can just make his own formula to control the tach off an LS signal by circumventing the CANBUS and just controlling the stepper motor directly.
My ViPEC has access to the CANBUS, but without the math it doesn't really do any good.

It looks like they got it. Kinda expensive though if thats it.
Does Hinsons canbus piece work? This http://www.hinsonsupercars.com/p-352-cangateway.aspx

I would need to simulate the output signals of the ECU. If I were to use an ECU it would need input signals as well. Thus, adding to the test setup. It would be easier if I could use my car, but I'm not ready to swap yet. What I would do is have someone rev the engine while I probe the cluster for the merged signals.
Bobby and Ben do some awesome work at CIN. If this car was there in December 2010 then I definitely saw it, I knew he was doing something crazy with it but never got the details. Either way, looks SICK!
