Default GTM stage 1 HR supercharger turn key kit

I am thinking about purchasing the GTM stage 1 HR supercharger Turn key kit for my 08 Z. http://www.gtmotorsports.com/product...roductid=17432 I looked and have not been able to find another supercharger for the hr. Ive heard stillen is going to be putting one on the market, but no promises?

Anyways, Im not looking to spend over 8000 for a twin turbo kit, so the gtm supercharger gained my interested. I am probably looking to purchase within the next week or so. Is this kit worth it? gtm's dyno sheets show itll push alil over 400rwhp on 8psi, is it true? some peoples reviews on the thread on here show less than 400rwhp?

just lookin for alittle support to make a decision here.

all help appreciated

I'm not FI or anything, but from what I've read GTM makes a great reliable kit

I think over 400 whp on 8psi is attainable with a custom tune. As Jusdrunk said, he is pushing 434 whp on 10psi with a conservative flash tune from Osiris. I'm sure he could push more horsepower if he were to get a custom dyno tune. My GTM Stage 1 SC should be installed in about a week on my 08 HR Infiniti Sedan, and I plan to use the Pulley that would get me about 10psi. It will be dyno tuned conservatively, and I'll let you know how it goes.

FYI ... You can not use a blow off valve on a supercharger system, Bad idea.

Sam
could you explain why?

most centrifugal supercharger setups i see use a type of valve to release pressure, whether diverter valve or blow off valve, without issues.

I think you're losing metered air if you blow it off to the atmosphere.
Most superchargers have a bypass valve (Eaton roots blower) that releases air (not under load) PRIOR to the MAF. If you blow it off after the MAF you're screwing up air flow readings.

right, but only if the valve is between the maf and tb.

on a supercharger setup like the guy that posted the vid, a blow off valve between the intercooler and maf wont do any harm. which is probably how he has it setup

I've put a little over 5k miles on mine so far, and have driven 5+hrs straight going to the beach and haven't had any problems. Mine did a baseline of 377whp 315 ft lbs and it was ~98 degrees outside. I also have a turbo smart dual port bov and haven't had any issues.

For my GTM SC stage 1 install, I was quoted anywhere from $1400-1700 for the install. I chose to go with the shop quoting me the higher price because IMHO the mechanic/tuner was more knowledgeable. I'm keeping my car for a long time, so I want the install done right the first time.

Can someone chime in with the various pulley options (84mm-100mm) and their corresponding psi result... Sam?

Someone just posted that 100MM is 7 lbs. Looks like he got 422 HP tuned with that. I would think that 11 is max (84mm) so that will give you an idea.
I would think once you're past 8lbs you will need supporting mods (clutch...rods..etc). Personally I would go 7lbs for street use and call it a day.

Update, I was recently dyno tuned and my final numbers were 371 whp and 332tq (STD) with the GTM stage one kit. These were the final #'s after about 20 runs over a 2 hour period, and the car was getting a little hot. The temp was about 80 degrees with high Hawaii humidity. I think I can get better numbers when the car is cooler. I'm satisfied with how my HR G35 Sedan pulls, smooth and plenty of power! I ran a friend's modded 01LS1 WS6 the other day from a 35-100 mph run, and the end result was me leaving him by two cars! (This was done at his personal closed track on private property of course)
