How does it feel??
It is awesome, I wasn't expecting much but it feels like a have a new transmission. I got it at a ridiculously good price from a local guy that sold his Z recently so with that being said it was well worth the $75 I paid but I don't know if it would be worth the $150-200 they seem to normally sell for.

Just an update for anyone who might care. I recently returned from a deployment and had a few pieces waiting to be installed. Had a mod party with some of the local guys and installed an OEM Akebono brake kit w/SS lines and RBF600 fluid, and a Z Speed undershoud. I am still waiting to install my RJM AFP clutch pedal bracket kit thing, Nismo 380RS gas pedal(worth 5HP easily) and I collected all of the pieces needed to convert my center console over to the 06+ stuff. I also bought a Stillen front splitter but am waiting on the hardware kit to arrive before I tackle that install.

Hey, missed you at the April Carrabelle event. Did you get your dumps recirculated? I was wondering how it affected your power level? Mine are recirculated now and I want to run open due to the gain in Torque. Let me know.

I was overseas for the April event
I never got a chance to recirculate the dumps due to the only local shop that I would trust enough has shut its doors. I am actually glad I never did it though, the open dumps definitely grew on me.

I'm glad you decided to keep them open. I will be converting soon. Too much torque loss with recirculated dumps. It alters the spool characteristics as well.

make sure to take a bunch of logs of open vs recirc.

you should not be getting a noticeable difference in torque or spool with recirc dumps if they are plumbed into the exhaust at the appropriate distance.

It will be interesting to see the effect. All I have to go by is what two very experienced tuners and the two dynos I posted in the other thread illustrate. Both tuners telling me there will be a significant increase in torque which is what the graph I posted illustrated as well.

What should I log for the purposes of this exercise?

As far as recirc design the point of entry seems very efficient. It is the GTM kit which is a VERY short pipe right into the horizontal flow of exhaust gas. I will see if I can find a picture.

well for one, your AFR should go much leaner if you are making any noticeable amount more of power.

then just boost vs rpm

Today I added hood struts from B2autodesigns and I also replaced the GReddy mushrooms of death with K&N RC-5131 air filters I just hope they flow enough for any future building I do.
