So, after talking to my parts supplier, Hal @ Dynosty and several other people I gave into the peer pressure to rebuild my car back FI "AGAIN".

Turbonetics, JWT 530, and now BP 6262 kit.

I gave a short timeframe to get this build complete and if not for my curse of electronic issues I would have on schedule. Dynosty took over the car and determined for approximately the same investment I could say boosted or build High Comp NA. After a few days the decision was made for a 3rd time to stick with FI.







Ugly Result of a bad Haltech ECU. Fuel control shorted out and opened injectors and locked motor up.




As of right now the car is 99% finished sitting down at Dynosty waiting for my ECU to be repaired. I am a little frustrated to hear the lengthy warranty process that Haltech has for the 350Z units. Overall the Z is in capable hands and Hal, Dustin, Eddie and the rest of the crew down at Dynosty have been helpful.

Im sure in posting this thread, they can post up more info ie. numbers and results of the Built Motor BP kit.

The first BP ever built for a customer will live again. I still have many pictures from this build. Too bad, PTE discontinued the larger T4 housings for the 6262. It will be interesting to see how this 6262 T4 .81a/r performs on a built VQ.

Hal is worried about inlet temps with the smaller IC, so that might be the next upgrade for me. Yes I am running my short down pipe. If the power isn't what I want, I will upgrade turbos and goto a 4" exhaust setup.

 

Yes, this was the smaller 6" core. Just let me know if you want to upgrade. I can send the new hardware at no charge straight to Dynosty, you just buy the FMIC. I would love to see this build complete, and another happy customer.

Water injection may be another options I guess.

words from Hal & Dustin as per my phone call today, Hal is very happy with how quickly the power band picks up and maintains throughout. Hopefully get some good numbers and maybe a very nice all around boosted platform can be born. So glad I went with the .81 ar.

Hey I have a rod like that! Little different reason I suspect but boy- have I been where you are! In one way I guess you're lucky it's warranty but I'm sorry to hear the process is a bit on the tardy side.

I see Sasha is involved here and between him and Hal / Ed / Dustin it looks like you're in good hands! I am stricken with girlie feelings when it comes down to seeing guys running into problems and good people from good shops / businesses taking issues in stride and going about rectifying those problems honestly.

Not to sound like a broken record but I firmly salute those shops and the guys making them work!

 

hey bro got a question, (not trying to hijack your thread) im doing an engine build and was thinking of doing the CP Piston and Eagle Rod combo but was unsure. How does that work for you? Its the 8:5 compression worth it? i was thinking of getting the Wiseco 8:8 but didnt hear any reviews on those, and didnt know if the extra $300 was worth it for the lower compression. How do you like your combo?

Couldn't tell you. I haven't had the car back, the big reason I went with CP was a recommendation from Hal. CP is made by Carillo and has a great reputation in the aftermarket.

im glad to see your goin at it again...i felt that way after i built the car then the block CRACKED on the dyno.....and "some" shop said it wasnt there fault that sleeved it now im on the road and can't wait till you are!!
