VQ35 turbo hr race engine
do you have to use the quaife? the cd009 has shown it will handle that power without trying, and they make a sequential shifter for it. not sure how flexible you are on gear ratios
Hi the engine has done a seasons racing we had a broken l19 head stud what caused a blown head gasket on the dyno ,fixed that and it made around 800hp at 17psi on our engine dyno.
The only problem we have had is it likes to eat gearboxs ,it has a qualife g69 6 speed box behind it now hopefully it wont eat that, and while it was out we pulled the engine to check bearings etc and they where like brand new.
The engine is going back on the dyno in the next few weeks i have some 2000cc injecters to set up .

We used to use a tko 600 tremec but it broke 3rd gear, being a track car the quaife works great, flat shift and u can chose your ratios.
The cd09 boxs ratios didnt suit the rest of the drive line
I have got some in car vids have to dig them out

Finished dynoing motor tonight it made 760hp and 650ftp at 15 psi, think i have run out of compresser more boost made not much more power.
Does any one no the VE of these engines?

Run the engine today just cant get it past 780hp, Getting small gains per psi. Thinking the standard cams might be the problem has any body had hr cams past this point or do i need to upgrade? The engine is making around 680 at 11psi and 740 at 15 and 780 19psi.
What changed since this post? How did you make 800 @ 17psi and now you're stuck at 780 with more boost?
Robbie = Driven1 has used it for many years. The Autronic was a precursor to ViPec.
I haven't head of any oem cams (hr or de) past 750. I would say you are definitely in the power range for some nice big cams.
Thanks thats what we thought its making great power from 4500 to 6500 then flattens so it looks like cams. Might leave it and change them on next build.
You are probably getting some great midrange on those stock cams already I bet.
