curious why they're using a 42R on a road course car? That's a drag turbo

Last year we run a garrett 4094 on a vq35de and we had to much backpressure on the turbine it had very little lag .

The 4294 has the same size compresser just a bigger turbine with e85 and more revs with the hr it should be ok i hope.

Hmmm... a peculiar combination... a 42R turbo with only 1400cc injectors on E85. The fuel system will be maxed out way before the turbo would be. For 700 horsepower on an engine dyno, a 42R seems like overkill. Did you try a larger turbine AR housing before stepping up from a 40R to a 42R? What size turbine housing were you running with the 4094?

Definitely digging the dry sump conversion though... I would love to do that on a future VQ motor build!

Hi the 42r with the 94mm wheel is rated 850hp when we run the 4094 it was with the biggest housing found that the 4094 is more suited small cubes high boost dousnt have the turbine flow.

made the dry sump out of solid piece of alloy lots of milling in it.

Love seeing others creative work, looks great! Be sure to post up the chart. I think you made a good selection on the turbo and I'm curious to see how it performs. What engine management?
