I had hx35s on my sr20 and on my wrx. Cheap reliable turbos. That can make a ton of boost and spool pretty quick.

Binder I feel like you selectively read everyone's posts... Not trying to start anything, but a lot of the time I see you responding/selecting very specific crap and ignoring a lot of stuff around it.

Where did you say twins? This whole discussion is on a single turbo setup and then now you are saying twins? I didn't selectively read anything. Hands down, there isn't a precision turbo big enough for our displacement in the price range that the MP turbos are.

You said in your first post you can get "equal size for same price with precision" when that isn't the case. You said to look it up. I did. Closest thing is a 59mm wheel which is equal to MP price. That will be way too small for a single setup since we see the 6262 making high 400's already. So any turbo near that in the "standard" precision is 829$. Nobody said anything about twins and even then you have 2 500$ precision turbos to 1 600$ MP turbo.

maybe, idk. If i do it's due to my lack of free time so i speed through. On other things i know i have missed stuff and went back but i'm pretty sure i am following the "why don't people use holset". I put up my answer and gave suggestions on what people choose to run instead and why.

I know that Holset turbos are popular with the local drift community on platforms other than the VQ. I guess a cheap turbo makes sense for a drift car that is going to get ragged on frequently. It's a helluva lot cheaper to replace. A friend of mine is running a Holset on his RB25 swapped S13 drift car. I don't recall if he has an HX35 or HX40. Spork, this is for your R32 right?

FWIW the holsets spool pretty well on hotter (higher velocity) gasoline exhaust gasses. And also live great on the higher levels of boost. I've seen them be pretty popular in the RB swap community for good response (Just like your buddy's car).

Zombie thread. KILL IT, KILL IT WITH FIRE.
