Default turbo the Z questions?

okay i have looked at a few kits to boost my 2004 Z performance model. i had a few question if i buy a used kit it can range from 3 to 4k fir a decent kit. would it be smart to just buy a complete kit? or i was thinking buying it in seperate parts such as intercooler and piping, wastegate, bov, turbo ect kinda making my own kit with quality parts that i prefer can i do this or is it stupid and more cost effective thanks.

Buy a complete kit. It will be a headache if you try to piece it together.

They do not just sale "intercooler and pipe kits" (except greddy but that goes with their kit). You can buy the HKS kits which do not include such piping but they are not really worth the money.

It would all be custom and more $$ and headache. Plenty of good kits already available.

Please stay out of the FI section (notes this is not in FI yet) until you have a picture of a turbo with your SN and Date on it. (should be the rule)

6mt will hold more hp than youll ever have

5at is weaker and people do build them for 500whp and up. Valve body upgrades and TC's.

Oh yeah. Still cant get them. The local guy never came through. The shop I had it at for the tune wabted 800 to make. And to top it off, greddy may not ve able to get them now.

Did finish everything else and I have numbers now. Dyno graphs are on my build thread.

Yeah saw that you had results so I thought you had finished the intake pipes. That sucks.

Can Ryan/Quamen not hook you up? He has some great skills. The tricky pipe is the cast one on the drivers side.
