if you buy used parts from the forums, and do most of the work yourself than maybe and thats a big maybe. If you can weld up your own turbo kit than you might just get to your goal. 600whp would be a much better goal to get to.
you can probably get to 600whp on a utec with some 760 injectors. A340 pump , build block and a Boosted performance 6765 kit, you would need a fuel system. If you build your own than you can save some $.
The key word is doing most of the work yourself.

Lol I may be new to this forum but not new to building cars. Got out of the Honda scene and my first z was mainly motor and show, sold it now I have an 04. All labor will be done by me and a friend of mine who owns a shop in mooresville. Block work is around 2500$ and turbo kits are 5,000-6,000ish. Not going with the momentum kit because this isn't going to be a 3 year build more like a have it done by next December kinda thing. Just simply asked what the best route was as this is a forum to get help and advice from others right?? Lol you guys trip me out. Seen 600whp builds under 10k and just simply asked if it had been done dipping into the 700whp area some people just don't have anything better to do then bash and flame the crap outta someone's thread

With the list above, $5k on a turbo kit you are already over $10k. You could find some of this stuff used, and save some money as well. This is also assuming that all goes well, and you don't have any problems at all. Don't forget tuning because that will be at least another $600.

If your engine work is only $2500, and you do all the work then it may be possible to get to 600, maybe a bit more. Fuel system and EMS will be key though. You need a good fuel return system ($900), I think Uprev ($600) will get you that power, you need an HPX MAF sensor ($300) and fuel injectors ($550). There is also clutch and flywheel, and if you go with Southbend you are looking at another $1000.

My block work consists of boring and honing, eagle rods and weisco 8:8:1 I believe pistons, crank balanced and I believe that included my rods dipped in high temp coating. My cap isn't necessarily at 10,000 I just didn't wanna get ***** deep in this and lose bookoos of money when I sell or trade it. My buddy Shawn is a licensed momentum dealer so he's been pushing that kit hard but he's talking with a discount 9,000 for the turbo setup and I would be just as happy with greddy or garrett and At 2/3 the cost. I figured 2500 in the bottom end, 5,000 in the turbo setup which could go higher but would like to stay around there somewhere, priced cams and port and polishing and oversized valves with stiffer springs and was told the z's head already flows good enough and wouldn't be money well spent so might still do cams and put a cap on 15,000$ I'll know by next year what I really wanna spend.

Bty this one started in late may ( not 3 years ago).
if you don't do the research and start asking noob questions, your gonna get flamed.
But I will try to help anyway.
Your 2500 will cover the bottom end, for your goal you really need head work, ( on your motor) he he. So add another grand or so to that.
Let's say 5500 for a kit.
Then u Must get headers, the stock headers will start to choke your motor at about 450whp. ( an 8 inch section of the stock headers is only 1.5" in diameter). Meagon headers are about 300.
Then of course a fuel return system is a must. Add another grand for that.
If e85 is not available to you the you will need a dual pump system.
I won't include the 800 for that and assume u can get a corn tune.
Add 170 for 340lpg pump
Then u will need a uprev reflash at the very least for your ecu. That's 700.
Then u have to get it tuned let's say u can do that for 500.
Injectors will cost u about 750
And let's add 800 for a cheap exhaust.
That puts u at 12220 and I probably forgot some stuff.

Like a lot of people on here. I took my lumps and learned the hard way. This is my 3rd build on the same car.

Mine was the same package deal minus the exhaust for the same price lol, probably not gonna get that one. And I've done lots of research, as originally posted I've been looking at other build threads trying to find someone that had built what I'm going for so I can somewhat follow their path with a few twists of my own

I got a set of oem bore pistons, had the shop balance the assembly , than I assembled the engine. so 99% of the work was done by me. Only problem is I didnt know **** about building engines and didnt even measure crank, block, rods. Just got OEM size bearings. As my signature explains a lot, I'm on my second build. I do have to say that I was running unturned on a APS 550cc tune for 7k miles pushing it a lot.
I'm sure if i did proper research ,and actually measured everything, and get tuned right away I would have still been running.
