Default Jwt 700hp kit removal

So I threw a rod bearing driving normally not under boost. Weird right, no oil starvation. It was really cold and this is the first time the cars seen the cold. Lived in south Florida withbit it's whole life until this winter moved to nj.

Anways so out with the motor I've pulled it straight out the front before and it was a ton of extra work. Any suggestions on methods of pulling engine only? Or am I better off dropping everything through the bottom?

easiest way is straight out the front unless you have a lift and can drop the whole cross member.

Removing just the engine and trying to get it unhooked from the trans then up and out of the car over the front end is a severe PITA. It doesn't take but 20 minutes to take the core support off and pull it straight out the front.

I'm sure the rod bearing didn't just all of a sudden die today. More than likely it has been wearing out and today it's just to the point where there is enough slop to finally start knocking. That's usually how it goes. So if you tear it down, i would be looking really hard at reasons it might not have been getting lubrication over the other bearings or if something was damaged on it during assembly.

This. I pulled front end off, and unbolted the motor from the trans and walked the motor out. In a 1 car garage. Was much easier this way for sure. By the way, where in NJ are you? If local enough, I can lend a hand if needed.

Through the front is relatively painless. I have pulled my engine 4 or 5 times that way usually takes me an evening to get it out.

I really think that throu the front is the easist way to do it, I just pulled mine and it only took me 5 or 6 hours and 5 or 6 beers...

i usually do too, the last time I separated the two because I was by myself and it seemed to go easier. I hate putting the trans in after the engine is in though.

Out the front cause I couldn't keep it on the lift while the engine was being built. Unbolted trans. Whoever posted the pic how long did it take to polish can and timing chain cover?

Alberto do you have any way of getting in touch with ray I must have called 30 times and left 5 messages. The guy who tuned my car wouldn't take it past 6800 I told him I've seen many z go to 7500 plus and still make power.

depends on their cam and valvespring setups.

most stock dynos will start to choke down after 7k. They won't die off completely but the benefit of going that high on stock valvetrain isn't worth it.

I never kept track of hours but lots...I did the sanding all by hand if you had the power tools it might not be too bad. I guy on G35driver will do it for a couple hundred or less his screen name is sxsxx or something along those lines....well worth the money to have him do it for you in my opinion.
