Posting this here since it's mostly us FI guys that would be doing this
I have had a 3.3 FD ring and pinion for a few years waiting to drop it in.
I have someone interested in buying my pumpkin with the Cusco RS LSD
so I can finally get a LSD that will support the 3.3 ring and pinion.
I been trying to do my research and found a few threads from back in 2007
saying the only available LSD's for the 3.3 FD were Quaife with modifications/Carbonetics and Cusco RS. I also read that the diff housing for the 3.3 auto was much smaller than the 6MT diff housing. I was looking at the OS Giken LSD on the Injected website and found this "Notes: MT only, non-LSD housing. Contact us for information on installation in factory-LSD equipped housings" and I'm also finding this https://my350z.com/forum/370z-engine...giken-lsd.html.
Can anyone add anything to the notation that is posted on the Injected site?

Is there truly a OS Giken LSD for 3.3FD or am I still limited to the 3 selections I keep finding on this site?

The Auto Os LSD I linked to in this forum I didn't notice it was posted under the 370Z forum until after i posted it so I don't know if it would work for us.
I also found a few threads about axle modification for the C Clips when using the Giken
https://my350z.com/forum/engine-and-...ull-out-2.html
I'm still confused about the housing issues that Injected noted since I see no mention of that on the Os Giken site
Another question if my only option are the 3 then I will probably go with the RS again but will the 3.3 FD have a problem in a VLSD 3.5 diff housing?

You're making it way harder than it needs to be
The Automatic cars use their own differential, there is no such thing as a differential that fits both auto and manual cars.
the 3 aftermarket LSD choices for an automatic are:
OS Giken
Cusco
Quaife
The pumpkin housings are the same, the internals (diffs/ring gear/pinion gear) and possibly output shafts (depending on original spec of vehicle) are what are different

Hey Adam you should know since I sold you the Diff housing that I got the parts from and I always tend to over analyze a situation just to make sure I dot all the I's and cross my T's.
So what is the proper OS Giken part number for the 3.3 FD?
I'm not seeing it on their site or anyone else's for that part
