Just no room with the auto transmission. The oil pan is too large for the twin scroll manifold and the turbos I use...and you have to spend another few thousand dollars on a transmission that can reliably handle the power.

Loving the work, still dreaming on a BP kit... have you got any other interest in a RHD kit?
I have been looking at his pics and now that he runs the FMIC piping on the drivers side (RHD passenger side) and the turbo is sat right at the cross member , the only thing near the steering column for RHD is the air filter. I am sure it would fit and would not take much modification if it did not.
I am having problems getting hold of sasha to get a price on the hot side pipework so i can test this theory out. I want to buy the open dump twin scroll version. Sasha please get back to me , im serious about this !
These twin scroll kits are now available with a Comp oil-less turbos. This eliminates the oil feed line, drain line, scavenge pump, oil reservoir, and an oil pan spacer. Most recent HR dyno with the twin scroll 6266 turbo:
How do you like these turbos compared to traditional turbos?
They have come a long way from when they were first introduced. They now have a grease nipple at the top, and you simply pump one shot of grease in to the center section every time you do an oil change. Rebuild life is 60k, which is great, and only about $400.
It really simplifies the install, and the complexity.

What about the time it takes to spool how does it compare to a ball bearing turbo?
If its a slower spool, is it worth it since you no longer need a scavenge pump and all the extra oil lines?

The turbo takes a couple of hundred miles to brake in, and by that I don't mean stay out of boost or anything...just driving time. Once that is done, it is very much like an oil cooled BB turbo, if not faster as far as response goes.

If its oiless, it still water cooled, so it needs a feed and return pump for the coolant?
I find this kit intriguing. My number one concern is that it seems like, and it could just be hard to tell from pics, that the turbo itself is now basically the lowest thing on the undercarriage -- isn't that rather risky? I would be afraid of hitting a high point in a road and damaging it. Is that a real concern?
Also, part of me wishes we could just get a twin scroll to fit somewhere in the engine bay, just to show it off!
Lastly, on the recent pics... where the heck does an airfilter end up? Just right there on the compressor housing, or is it piped somewhere better?

The turbo is up above the subframe, no chance of hitting it, unless you run over some large rock when offloading. Over 150 of these kits out there, nobody with clearance/damage issues.
