Quality work indeed. Are you still experimenting with the HR single?

With the 370Z arriving for all of April, I will rather busy. Also trying to get this system done and ready to go for some testing. The 76mm turbo kit will be finished up in the next couple of weeks, so we can get some solid numbers out of that.

QSV will NOT work on divided header systems. They work on a single header input system going into a divided housing only. It diverts all the exhaust into one scroll at first for fast spool. With separate chambers going to separate scrolls the valve would just close off one entire exhaust bank which means bad news.

The original BP kit with a twin scroll turbo would be perfect for a QSV setup.
thanks! that clears up any questions and concerns i had... good info!

How much lower is the housing than the chassis?

It is not, there is a fair bit of room on that side.

Got a bit more work done the last couple of days.

Port matching: perfect..and everything gets back purged (the proper way to weld tubing) with argon to ensure very smooth joints
on the inside. No back purge= "sugaring" on the inside

Any time two solid exhaust banks are joined together a flex pipe is a MUST, so the passenger side looks like so:

Random shot..

All welded up on the outside:

Passenger side wastegate location:

Driver side wastegate location:

The whole thing comes off by removing 6 header bolts and one V-band clamp...not bad. Will try to make the oil lines easy
remove as well. So in case transmission servicing is needed this will be very easy to remove.

Passenger side 3-bolt flange will be the last thing to get welded do to things moving during welding. This ensures perfect fitment.

The two wastegates will join on the driver side where the transmission ends. Then the single 2" dump tube will be routed in to the down pipe. This will be an option (and will cost extra) once this kit is available for purchase because it requires extra piping, two extra flex couplers and is a PITA to build.

I honestly am always amazed by the quality of your work. This is one of those things I look at and think man I'm glad I bought from that guy!

Would an open-dump option be available for the wastegates?

Looks great though.

Open dump would be standard, and recirculated would be the optioin.

Piping is different, and the tubes are equal length, utilizing the twin scroll a bit more efficiently...the location is the same. You also don't have to drop the transmission to install it.

I expected you to mention that build.

All good...

And yes, I don't get that either. It only costs $30 and does so much when things heat up, and during the install.
