pioneers are often harassed by doubters.

those who succeed are heroes.

in japan at least.

As I stated in the PM a long time ago, get yourself a large T4 .96 turbine housing and a good set of aftermarket headers to at least give this idea a chance.

Without those two components you will have exhaust back pressure issues and your power curve will start to dive after 5500rpm.

In theory this would be great, kinda like communism, but I do agree that you should build the block first just to be on the safe side. However I do see where the OP is coming from a I really hope that he sees it through, there's too many builds that are doing the same stuff all the time, its nice to see something different once in a while. If it works it works and you'll have some one off shnit, kinda like my S/C Subaru, if not it'll be a fun experiment. I see a lot of DSM guys doing this as well, and it seems to work out great for them, I havent really read too much into some thing like this but like I said I'd like to see what comes of it... good luck OP.

You'd probably be better off using a vortech (big/upgraded like a t-trim) an fairly large twin t3's or a big t4. Then you could probably figure out an intecooler/charge pipe setup that actually works. I wouldn't use a root style supercharger ever on our v-6's.

Thanks Tony. Thats what im saying. It will be fun and something different for once. If nothing else i can tell someone else that it wont work and actually KNOW it wont.

All doubters need to look at what guys are doing to their mini coopers. They used to come with a roots SC (M45 i think) a few years ago. Now they come with a turbo. Guys with the SC cars are buying the factory turbo kits and Twin charging them and are having incredible results. Well like 360whp in a car that drives like a go-kart.

stillen blower is beyond maxed out on a 3.5l and already blowing nothing but hot air...even before you shove more thru it. Not saying don't do it.. just voicing a concern.

This is why im hoping the meth/water injection can help with the cooling. I will have that rather large 23.5" x 12" x 4" intercooler for the turbo while keeping the stillen water/air cooler.

True, but with the compound effects of both FI systems, the blower can be run with a much smaller pully, keeping the hair dryer effect to a minimum, and if hes able to work out a decent intercooler set-up pre-blower it should actually work pretty well I think. I still agree that hes going to need to run a fairly large turbo to do this effectively. The RX-7 guys use them (large turbos) all the time, because of the rotory's hatred of heat on the apex seals, to keep boosted AIT's down...

Only time will tell right?

I want to see something new. Kudos for thinking outside the box. I do agree that a stock block is a time bomb that won't let you explore the potential of a unqiue setup. Btw, u should look up ttg35fort's thread on the topic. Speaking of which, I wonder what happened to his closed deck block prototype from GTM.

Hey, if you blow the motor, you can always do it on a Caliber SRT4.

For srs, best of luck.

Hey OP, forget the negative comments on this thread. Start the project, create a new thread with consistent progress updates so we know what's being done and from there, we will know if your idea of using the stillen blower with the turbo setup was successful. Nuff said!

yes ^^^ start building, post some pictures and it will shut many people up...

I mean overall, its not a bad idea, im sure alot of people who will post are unaware that this is actually an existing method of FI.. and those will certainly be the more negative comments...but im jsut saying, why?.. whats the gain youre looking to get out of all that money spent if youre not a shop looking to sell it? I mean, i guess all of us modding our cars fall into that category of " Why/whats the point", but still.. i guess im just the kind of guy that thinks.. "Hmm.. i plan on making 600 whp out of a non sleeved 3.5 liter Nissan v6 engine.... I think Ill stick to what is proven works and not stray from it ONE single bit".. but then again, its only MY 16 grand talking in that scenario, not yours.

Id certainly stay away from the Stillen once again tho. Thats the most pointless piece of boosting apparatus ever created for this car.

far better componenets can be used.. im still think its a dreamer thread tho unless youre replying that youre really wanting to do this.. then i guess im all ears.

Not hating, just seriously scratching my head and going " well.. ok... i guess.. but... well, do what you want man, it'll be cool to see it if it works".

just not sure what your goal is.. big HP? RUn a 76mm single and be done... good torque curve alla round? Run some twins and be done..

I mean its either a super ultra driveability thing youre going for or a big power thing, each can be had right now with tried and tested reliable components. dunno.. thre will be debate, it is what it is, im sure ppl will keep it fairly friedly tho.

this idea sounds like a waste of time, why don't you do a sequential turbo setup instead.
