More reliable power on HKS Supercharger?
I can't believe it, but that day is come. I want more than my estimated 409 horsepower from my GTM Stage 2 Supercharger kit.
The thing works great, makes the power it should, never had a problem. Aside from that kit the engine and exhaust are stock.
What is the 'next thing' to get a little more power out of it(25-50hp) without like blowing my engine or my stock clutch? I hear rumors that at 450-500 hp without a built motor and high power clutch it starts breaking parts so that worries me a little.
Exhaust? Fogger or injection system?

No, it is 409 BHP, not WHP. At the wheels it is about 350 WHP.

I say estimated because the GTM dyno chart is not my car (every car is a little different, even with the same mods) and it is showing 350 WHP (which can only estimate BHP).
Because these dyno charts are the same car on the same dyno with different mods, I can relate the power with ratios.
I did the math based on the change in WHP from their stock to this kit, and the factory DE 287 BHP to my estimated BHP with their kit. 350.8 New WHP / 243.5 Stock WHP = unknown New BHP/ 287 Factory BHP = 413.5 New BHP
I must have rounded different the first time....
It is a GTM stage 2 kit, so yes it already has a lot for an HKS kit because of extra stuff and custom tune on the F-con. Here is the kit:

I should get mine dynoed sometime...

Running on a stock engine.. hmm.. youre in dangerous, expensive and emotionally draining territory.
Be warned. The next 100 HP will be purely love hate. mostly hate. And its $$..
its the opposite of paying a hooker.. ( at least its fun and usually you can do some wild ish w a redonkulously hot one.. )
Built FI is like paying to be married to some nasty beesh of a wife.

thanks guys.
I really don't want to get a louder exhaust unless I have to. I will look into the injectors/tune thing.
"max out boost" is... upgrade pulley?
I bet GTM probably has all this stuff worked out.

^^ id agree w GTM being your best bet..
as for your boost, im only quessing about your setup, but you still have a wastegate and wastegate springs...and maybe a boost controller?.. im not sure youre set to be at max free flowing boost as you sit now.
Call GTM, tell them what youre running.. and just ask them where the rest of the low hanigng fruit is.

Did you check out my build?
I read through that thread. And it has a lot of helpful stuff. You have different parts for things than me, and it is hard to know which ones are the 'low hanging fruit'
Hang on, you have it supercharged but you don't have it dyno tuned? You're asking for problems.
I run the exact kit GTM gave me with the F-con tune that they found worked best for it. Why would I need a different tune if the tune matches the parts I have? Now if I go change stuff I certainly will need a different tune. I don't trust anyone around here enough to try to do better than GTM with a new custom tune, even if GTM only gave me a conservative standard tune for this kit.
Exactly, using ricer math to determine your output is silly
I agree. Numbers don't mean anything. Even with dynos the numbers can vary by a long ways as Flo-ridaZ33's thread shows. Sorry if any of the estimated numbers I used confused someone, but I just say 'estimated' because no one ever knows exactly how much power a car has, even with a dyno. My math IS sound, and is what any aftermarket company uses to estimate new BHP numbers for a kit. The numbers are not as important as the percentages. What I do know for sure is that my kit was supposed to do a large percent increase over stock and it did, and I want a small safe increase more, whatever that number is. I never did any of this to brag about what number of power my car has, I am going for usable real power for real driving. I wouldn't have an HKS kit or a 350z if I just wanted some big numbers.
fuel system/injectors, new tune and max out your boost
This looks exactly like what GTM does with their higher stages. Seems like a simple and safe route to go with GTM and their standard kits and standard tunes. Haven't had a problem doing that so far.

Do you actually go around telling people it has 409bhp? LOL some people
Uh no. Although it does have something around that number, I don't go around telling people anything about my car, and I don't do any mods to change the look of it. They start asking after I pwn them about what I did to it, and I mumble something about a supercharger.
I only used numbers, BHP numbers, when comparing mods for reference of what to choose. I give you guys those estimates to help you get an idea of where I am at. I know some tuner people are obsessed with WHP which I also listed below, but whatever. Again this is just for reference of % change from stock. Are numbers that important to you people? Geez.

I just find it hard to believe that you push the car hard with a tune that is just an estimate of what it can handle. GTM or not without having a reliable tuner tune your car for timing and afr I would be scared as hell driving it.
