Default Questions + issues w/ the Fcon and cruise/idle. Plugs keep fouling??

I have a Fcon w/ 1000cc injectors and was wondering a couple of things.

1. What controls the cruising A/F as well the idle A/F? Does the Fcon control it or the Stock ECU? It seems to run rich during both. In the mid to high twelves during both. WOT seems good though.

2. What controls the start up? Does the stock ecu control this? The car doesn't seem to be taking to well to hot starts. Sometimes it won't start when hot. If I leave it for a couple of hours it starts up. Seems like it soaks the plugs in the fuel causing it to not start or something.

3. Could cruising rich like that be the reason the plugs are fouling and possibly causing the issue with the hot starts? Seems like when I change the plugs the hot start issue isn't as great.

So w/ all this being said, what needs to be adjusted? Should all the adjustment be done on the Fcon and not on the ECU? Fuel enrichment during start up need to be taken back?

its all done with the fcon.

If your car already is too rich at cranking, it will be even worse under a hot start.

the cranking and fueling tables need to be adjusted.

Yeah I'm just wondering why my plugs keep getting fouled over short periods of time.

If the plugs are starting to get fouled would this cause the A/F ratio to be in a richer condition?

maybe, but by then your car would be running like crap.

Your tune is WAY off if you foul plugs that quick

If the car were mine I wouldn't drive it until the tuning issue is sorted. You have extreme wear on cylinder walls and rings because excessive fuel washes away the oil. You probably have alot of fuel in the oil as well.

Unfortunately, not many tuners can deal with FCON since it is locked and required the tuner to have a key. To make matters worse, HKS dropped all support in the US so it's basically an expensive brick at this point.

I would suggest if you have the funds to get a Haltech, or if you're on a tight budget go with something more basic like Uprev Osiris. With either, make sure your tuner knows what he's doing and sets you straight.

Wasn't the car running good for awhile though? Or has it always been like this?

since they have to be HKS protuners, they will certainly know what to do

Thanks man. Hey would you know if I could use my AEM UEGO wideband output to send the signal to my Fcon? Perhaps I could run a closed loop.

You need the AFK for that.

Are you about that man? I was under the impression that the Fcon had a signal input for widebands.

You can run any 0-5v wideband output to the Fcon and use it for AFR feedback but you have to have the software to set it up in the Fcon.
