1 week into vortech ownership already trouble!! HELPP
alright well my vortech was installed and runnng great last week when it was installed and tuned, today i started her up and she didnt wanna start for a few tries i had to pump the gas for it to finally sputter up then the smell of straight sweet fuel hit my nose and i noticed she is smoking white smoke pretty good it bogs till about 3k rpm or higher and blows more smoke as rpm rise my a/f seem right or ok at idle but after i give it throttle and let it idle again it goes crazy like its trying to keep it idling by dumping fuel. any ideas its a v2 vortech with a uprev gt maf (my #1 suspect?) as well as a AAM fuel return system spoke to the shop who put it together n they told me to check for vacumm lines and my fuel pressure. pressure is at 40 on the fuel press regulator at idle. car seems to have trouble idling and is deff running super rich. i want to rule out tho i have not the headgasket as it happened over night and she hasnt been driven much since the install.... any ideas or things to check would be great

If everything was installed correctly, then Tuning.....
Take it back and have S and R fix it, then take a long test drive before you accept it back.
Why would you have a bad Head-gasket right after the install?

hmm white smoke usually indicates coolant. how is the overflow tank looking?
Doubtful it's a straight up tune issue if it was working fine then suddenly dead.
Could be the MAF, perhaps. If you have a cipher cable do some logs to make sure the voltage looks sane.

Hate to hear this!
Who did the install?
Take it back to them(unless you DIY).
Man,if I could give one piece of advice it would
be:
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE EXPERTISE/TOOL TO DO
A JOB,HAVE SOMEBODY ELSE(WITH A PROVEN TRACK RECORD)DO IT.
This forum is loaded with posts about stuff that "is not working".
Not everyone is expert on a Z.Its worth the drive to take it to an expert.
I get my stuff done at Z-1 Motorsport in the Atlanta area.
EVERY installation has been PERFECT.
Thought there was a top notch shop in Tampa?

a cold start is always going to white smoke while the condensation burns off.
Sounds like they rushed to finish and now you are having to go back. Should be simple touch of the keyboard. Best bet is for you to learn Osirus so you can make small adjustments on your own.

Osiris right?? My Buddy has the same start-up problems with the osiris.(greedy tt no FRS just dw600cc). His car ran awesome and then for some reason it would have trouble starting up. But when the car was running it was a champ.
