Default Vinny Ten Racing: JWTT 625whp pump gas 17psi

3+ year old build still running as strong as day 1. This tune is on 93 octane on a basic Jim Wolf Technologies 850BB Twin Turbo setup with Hydra EMS.

I will make another video of the race gas tune, but the car has already been proven to run consecutive 10.3 passes at 147mph back to back to back etc.

DAM...still trying to figure out if its worth TOTALLY rebuilding a VQ35DE or just doing a 2JZ swap in a 350z.....did you sleeve the engine or just do rods and pistons? What all was done to the engine? CR on the pistons? I know I was told it takes about $8-10k to do a 2jZ swap...but its a cast iron block and can get 700whp all day......dont know how much a build on a VQ35DE would be.....

BTW nice ride!!!

Love the video and props for the PPW TT350Z's! I am thinking of bringing my boost up to 16psi from 13.

nice work, I have to be the one of the only ones still rolling on a 3.5 DE without lifting heads, overheats or failed internals. Knock on wood lol

sleeves not needed for 600-700hp. Ask the guy that just finished his 2jz build. If you are having a shop do it for you (since a lot of custom work needs to be done) i would say the total cost of the swap would be more than a built VQ. If you have a shop and can fabricate then the swap would be feasible. I think that 8-10k is probably parts alone for the swap.

?? there are quite a few of us actually. I think we just hear about the failures more than the people that have no problems. no problem=no reason to start a thread; blown engine=thread bitching about blown engine

oh my question: is this an auto car? 10.3 is pretty nasty for only 600hp if it's a manual

I wish you had more miles on it; I would love to see a built VQ last mileage wise not just time. I am a track ***** for sure but I put 30k miles and 100+ 1/4 runs in the same time you did 10k -- damn good for a stock block given what I see on the boards. That said VTR is still on my radar if/when it's time.

off the top of my head I can think of 3 customers right this second who road race/daily drive their 600+ whp z and have put on 30k+ with ZERO issues.

this VTR is kind of expensive vs most you can get a built engine to hold up to that power level for cheaper. not going to talk bad about VTR though they are one of only a couple shops ive never heard of having engine problems. if i couldnt do it myself i wouldnt be scared to take it to them and one other. plenty of people with no problems just stick around awhile, alot of people just dont have built threads.

what jeff said about the no blown engines i believe is why we dont hear much from VTR lol but like i said they are a bit more then other places

also good luck with the 2JZ, even at just 700 and not building the engine looking at probably 6-10k...................plus at least that probably double that for install, plus materials for fabrication and all the other **** you will need. if you want a full built engine look at 8k just for a stroker kit.
