*drop* & done... "Rude" nothing wrong with the name drop Ive trapped 131 on street tires with the small .96 ar 6262.. Hope to be low 10s and 140+ With the 6766 and slicks. That is reality not some dyno or drama.

I'm still in the process of saving money to continue my project ... the scope of which you know NOTHING about. It also has NOTHING to do with PL or this thread.
I don't think it's right to jack another vendor's introduction thread with negative comments about front/top mount kits and make comparisons to your preferred kit when the OP hasn't even released completed pics or performance numbers yet.
@ MI 35th... Who cares? Not I. This thread isn't about you or that kit.

You're right, you completely win.....You are the king of pointless name dropping so I shouldn't even attempt to catch up.

nope, apparently if we even so much mention another manufacturer when trying to reference a type of design we are "trolling" and doing something bad. I was merely asking about the route of design they chose verses another route that showed great results. I used those nasty words that Rude searches for every time he logs in: "boosted performance" as soon as you say it he jumps in the forum and you are a piece of crap for referencing it.
OP, sorry for all the nonsense in your thread. I only mentioned the other manufacturer in reference to a different type of design and again wasn't using it to disrespect your choices.

Thanks for your answers!
I do believe the routing on the boosted performance kit does not alter anything on the car and runs the cold side on the same side of the car. No new fluid tanks, no crossing over the engine, 2 foot less piping.
I went that route because I don't like the piping being longer or in front of the engine. i hated that from day one about my vortech and decided against kits like that when i switched to turbo.
The exhaust turbine housing is too small for our engines as you noted. What needs to happen is a t4 housing used. Not sure why garrett doesn't make a t4 housing for those turbos since there is a demand for them. That would make the best backpressure reduction since we see that with the t4 precision turbos.

"It is very difficult to run the piping to where it is not at all towards the front of the engine or to run the piping all on one side because of the space limitations that are on these vehicles"
Though clearly more expensive to develop , if you where to craft a new plenum with the TB mirrored upon the passenger side , then the cold side pipe would directly route up to the TB on the passenger side and avoid the soak induced by the down pipe on the driver side . Basicaly like an HR plenum with the driver side TB removed and blocked.
I've been running the MTM setup for several months and It appears that most of the inlet heat soak comes from the hot side DP and exhaust housing.
My P and Tial housings are ceramic coated , which helps allot , but it could be better

Boosted Performance has designed and a fabricated a nice mid mount system and there are very few ways to run the piping when the turbo is upfront. We decided to take a very unique approach to this routing and thus have reduced some piping length from the previous kits. Garrett does make a T4 housing for this turbo but we decided to go with the Tial V-band housing because it eliminates the use of gaskets and bolts and also helps with clearance issues.

I don't know much about the vband housings. They seem cool but I stuck with t4 since you can get a huge range of turbo sizes without changing the piping. Curious if that was the same on the vbands.

so like the 4088r? Do they have the same size vband on the input and output or will you have to supply new exhaust pieces with the larger turbo?
