WOW!

A little google searching found me some slightly dated info on the car. Info none-the-less though. BTW this is a G35 not a 350Z.

"Secret Agent Dave just flicked through these pics of a brand new V6 combo testing at Willowbank Raceway. The stock-stroke VQ35 runs a pair of custom Garrett T51-based turbochargers on a pair of stunning exhaust manifolds with horsepower expectations clearly on the north side of 1500! Scott Porter's Nissan Infiniti is certainly going to be one to watch and we're hoping that Phil Laird and the team get enough testing done before J21 to be compeitive. Make sure you get along to J21 on the 27th and 28th of August to see it.

See more TTV6 engine awesomeness after the fold,

***UPDATE*** Extra pics added at bottom of post.

***ADDITIONAL UPDATE*** 7.2sec @ 184mph - 1.09 60ft.

Next pass 7.7 @ 194 with heaps of shake.

7.15@197 mph on last pass with big pedal job."

Lots of fast Vq's in the world. Just not in the states.

This was one of the fastest in the states, not to thread Jack..

Definitely badass, I've seen the red car in person and its a Z body funny car. The black one the op posted looks about the same IMO.. Either way, they are nasty!

Shout out to VTR ! The story behind that car is crazy...

***edit- After watching the video all the way through it does look g35ish..Never the less that was one amazing run!

The crazy thing is that a VQ can make that kind of power. I'd love to see what's inside that block, especially since they're saying its a stock bore VQ...
I think I'm gonna do some research!

Well 3.5 liters is plenty on a tube chassis drag car. They probably rev to the moon and back and have nitrous to spool onto the torque converter (and a crazy two step).
The gas motorsports cars (in left lane of last video) have the highest hp 2jz's out there.
If you find out what block they're running post up, but im willing to bet they just run sleeves.

Haven't seen a VQ build with aluminum rods before. I would love to have a block with some BME aluminum rods.

I'm curious to know more specifics on the build such as compression ratio, cams, EMS, fuel used, and details on the oiling system.
