Default With timing correction, what would be the ideal AFR?

a lot of Procharger owners have set their AFR's on their complete kits to 11.~:1......this sounds good for a car that has timing advance issues and requires more fuel to quench the heat

I'm planning on getting my ECM reflashed, and since the timing will be corrected, i'm thinking of the old 12:1 ratio more common to other FI setups

I wanna be rich and safe, but not so rich as to kill my O2 sensors left and right.......any suggestions?

11.8 to 12.3 is what I used on my turbo Eclipse and is what I am planning on using on the 350z

Usually keep it at 11.5-11.8:1 just to make sure to not detonate.

Hey EJ...I bumped up the last two sliders on the DFMU mostly the last one and no more detonation....It seems I tuned when it was 60 degrees out and when it dropped to 30 I ran leaner...No more noise and its about 10 degrees out now here in nj...I amrked my FMU so when it warms up I can set them back but I may be taking the trip to Altered Atmosheres in Feb to get the reflash..

I must agree with you EJ after seeing my plugs that 11.5 seems overly rich. This only applies to closed loop mode?

I ask too because I am heading to reflash next week, may go slightly leaner like 11.7-8, you saw my plugs, what do you think?

high 11's even low 12's sound good as long as you have the timing licked...But then again you west coast 91 octain guys got to be careful..I would stay mid/low 11's on 91 oct..

those plugs were wet.........i'm thinking your on the right track sir.......since your timing is pulled in the right areas, a slightly leaner AF might be appropriate........find out what Tadashi has to say about this.....i'm sure he would agree that gas fouled means it's a little too much on the rich side

I'm gonna bring a plug with me, he is a "I must see for myself" kinda guy, I like that about him. Already decided. Might gain a fe HP and even better gas mpg, plus extend plug life who knows.

I will bring the plug from #6.
