Default Vortech: 928 vs Si Impeller

From the research I've done, it appears to be the 928 which makes more power... is this true?

What about longevity, reliability, etc...?

Thus far the 928 impeller is the only setup that has made 600+whp. The 928 impeller itself is higher quality billet piece compared to the cast Si impeller. Note that the 928 impeller will not fit in an Si head unit though. It was designed for V2 and V3 standard units.

there hasnt been a built motor Si car done either though. Granted a billet impeller should have better aero. Still havent seen a stock block 928 dyno that shows any difference over my 460whp Si dyno.

If you built your motor and did cams etc, there would be no reason not to go to a billet wheel. The cost is so inconsequential in the overall price.

But if you did build your motor, going to a Ysi blower is the much more logical solution.

Is this the Vortech v7 blower you refer to? - It's quite expensive isn't it? What sort of power have people made on a built VQ? - Or is this uncharted territory too?
