Painted: Still needs a few things done before I can take her and start getting everything back in. However she looks 1000000% better than before!

It was done, caught on fire while I was out at dinner back in June. Just getting it painted since then. Now I can slowly start putting it back together.

Thanks...Yea I found the cause. It was the wire from the alternator to the battery. It was hot and when the shielding melted the wires touched metal. Then she gave up her ghost. I'm going to make sure anything that can cause a fire have something a or run it so that it doesnt. At least try to any way.

Yea everything was salvageable except the plastics and few other odds and ends. I never got it to the Dyno as it caught fire 3-4 days before I was supposed to go get it tuned.

Yea I am, turning wrenches is the easy part. Just have to make sure I have everything.

Not a bad idea..I will be wrapping a lot of my stuff. It just gets to hot in the bay, so a bunch of stuff gets soft and like to melt. Doing that will help keep it from happening.

I won't forget. I have to use it right now, but as soon as the new one is done, I will let you know.

Hope you had a good weekend my friend.

You and me both man. It could have been a heck of a lot worse. I'm just counting my blessing however they come.

Thanks man! I'm glad she is looking as good as she does. Definitely better than what she looked like before.

It will still take me a little time to get her up and going. Have a few things in the works I am waiting on, before I pull the trigger to get everything rolling.

Slowly coming together. I started putting everything in behind the firewall. Almost done minus a few things. I picked them up yesterday at my friends house, who has a wrecked Z. Thank God for good friends.

Here is the progress so far.

Hope to have more updates soon

Thanks D! That means a lot! Good talking with you as well. Don't have to much fun on the RC51 ....Think I'm going to pull the trigger on the BMW S1000RR. I want something different for a little while, but I might end up back on a R1 again, who knows.

Hit me up if you need any help with you need anything.

Weather has been really crummy here and haven't had a chance to do anything on the Z. Waiting on fuel system and few little odds and ends, then everything will be back in.

Turbo kit all back together, waiting on clutch, so I can put the kit back on the motor. One step closer. Let the cramming begin.

New clutch from SpeedSport Clutches (RPS) came in. Everything will be going on tonight along with the turbo kit. The only big part I am waiting on is the new triple Walbro 485 fuel kit. Long long process, but it's coming together.

That is one serious clutch! And triple 485's? Might need to get a re-enforced gas tank to keep the walls from caving in

Haha yeah it's nice clutch. Craftsmanship of the clutch is really good. I had the twin before this and honestly I couldn't have been happier. Only reason I went with the triple is because I'll be pushing the twin pass its labeled limits.

LMAO, lots of suction will be going on in the tank. This is one of two, (3) 485 systems that I know of. CJM did one for Hal, and the one I have from a different company. I got this setup not knowing Charles was doing a triple setup. Oh well, I still have his intake manifold.
