Just got an update on the engine being built. Here is a quote from an email that was just sent.
"Dynasty received the pistons late last week, so the machining and final assembly on your engine has started, and they should be done by late this week, or early next. Then they’ll get it shipped out to us."
So after a long wait, the bottom end is finally finished and sitting at Dynosty awaiting shipping to Charlotte. Don't have any eye candy yet, but looks like they will most likely not starting on it till after Zdayz.
Thanks, yeah it was stripped down pretty good. Ive owned her only a year and spent a lot of money on her so far. Paid a little more than I wanted, but Im impatient and wanted to get it. It's an 03 touring with 60k on the clock with a clean record. I even drove over 8 hours 1 way to look at a z that was supposed to be in great shape...left empty handed.
How did you manage to get so much tq out of a vortech at that HP level? I was over 500hp and didn't break 400tq.
Don't know I bought some stuff, threw it together and had CIN tune it, lol. I actually creased over to 403 during tuning. Everyone at the shop seemed really impressed with the numbers it was putting down with the Vortech.
In all of my Dynos, Max wtq has been between 80 & 83% Max whp.
He's right at 90%!
With 80% I should be right at 403hp and I was still lower. I was also on a DD so I'm not sure if each dyno calculates the horsepower differently based on torque. That could be the differences I guess.
FWIW, I did 438/392 on a DD with my old setup. That's right below 90% if my math is correct. However, I was also using the 928M Impeller with the S trim housing.
Im not in Texas anymore. I was stationed there. Im in South Carolina. That would be crazy as hell if they drove all that way to pick my car up, lol. It was still over an hour drive though to come and pick it up.

Little update, the engine is finally back and they have started on it. It's taken forever to get the block back, but it's finally here! Stopped by and took some pics.
Looks like were also gonna be adding a set of headers to the build.
