Hey guys I just bought a gtx35r with a 106 AR housing . How bad of a spool time you think ill receive? I have a 06 built with cams with a haltech stand alone
Do you think I should use a 106 AR housing ? For my almost 4.0 liter displacement ? Or should I put back on the .82 AR housing ? My hp goal is 600+ I've made 500 wheel on a gtx30/.82 AR why I had this turbo is because I guess when I purchased the powerlab kit from intense power they sold me a gt30 what was suppose to be a 35 which it isn't . Ordered a real gtx35 now I need advice please guys thanx. I can post pictures of both turbos for comparison to what powerlab sold me

Don’t waste your time with the .82 exhaust housing.
I had the .82 exhaust housing on my car; I essentially maxed out that turbo on pump gas (AZ 91) at 470whp… I recently upgraded to the 1.06 housing, going back to the dyno in two weeks…
A friend was running the 1.06 exhaust housing on his GT35R/PL kit and he made 52x on pump gas (stock exhaust too) and 600+ on E85.
I think the difference in spool will be less than 500 rpm too.

better then that why are people going full tilt with cams and crap if worried about spool. Stock cams will handle 600, I made that at 5200 through a slipping clutch and much bigger turbo.............and a 3.5L no reason shouldn't be able to do it with a 4.0 even with a slightly higher compression and tighter engine
