Talking Finally in the FI game

Hey guys I recently got the opportunity to buy a turbo kit for my Z and thought Id share. I went with BP's kit, great reputation from what I hear and a little cheaper than the vortech I had originally planned to go with (not by much). Not looking for high numbers just a fun car to drive. Id like to ask any of you who have this kit what kind of numbers could I get with .4 bar spring? also do any of you have hesitation issues (factory fuel system no frs). Here are some pics of the items I have so far the rest of the kit should get here next week. I might be the first yellow Z with this kit . Sorry for the pictures, I dont know how to make them appear on the message.

Tony here is the graph from my very first trip to the dyno. Never did any tuning before this. The turbo was a small Garret 61mm with a T3 .63 a/r housing...so nowhere near as efficient as the 6266 you have. You can tell the turbine is too small because the boost fell hard, due to exhaust back pressure. This was spring only in the wastegate, no boost controller....(still learning a lot at the time):

As you can see at 6psi and 5500rpm, the car put down 350whp already. I think with a good tune you should be very clos to 400whp (on a DJ dyno), if not at 400. At 6500rpm there is only 4psi of boost, and the power is still at 350whp.

You picked the right kit.
Two recommendations:
Make/buy a return system
Buy an RJM clutch pedal upgrade for that single disk.

Where did you order your kit from? I'm thinking of going f/i either vortech or single turbo, still debating and researching since this is my first time going f/i. Not looking for high hp numbers just making the car more enjoyable.

Thanx for the info remastered, I was looking into a return system by CJM return system because they have more fuel damping witch I read gets rid of light throtle hessitation that plagues some boosted Zs. The clutch is JWT and I actually had a hard time adjusting the pedal, when i put it on the clutch line got some air and now I cant get rid of it( as the cars warms up the engagement point goes higher)

@Nofrey trust me go with this kit, it cost a bit more than a complete vortech but will be less money down the road. Also Sasha is by far the best vendor I've ever dealt with since I got the Z. His costumer service alone is worth the price of the kit.

Will post pics as I get new stuff

All your car needs now is a short antenna.

You should get supporting gauges to keep track of things and also I would highly recommend an EBC to fine tune the delivery of said boost.

On just under 8psi with same kit I had 430whp and 389Tq on stock block. I'm running higher than that as well with no need for RFS.

Thanx guys im so flippin exited about this build!!!!!!
I actually did get a shorty antena a while after this pic was taken lol

@Drako that sounds awsome man by what RPM were you spooled? I did order the MTX-L innovate gauge for AFR. Havent decided on the boost gauge yet, also there is this guy in my facebook selling an hks evc so i might buy that if I have some leftover cash. Looks like Ill be returnless for a while unless problems arise.

Nah... one of my friend has it on his Z, I helped him set it up and it was pretty straight forward. Even has over boost protection. Mine is a bit more complicated... LOL
