Default 2013 BBORR and the Pathfinder mod :)

I have to say that the pathfinder mod has been one of the best things I have done to the car yet....I saw the temp stay around 180 degrees cruising 135-140mph The Setrab oil cooler did wonders as well! No trophy this year but had a blast! 118 miles, through 134 corners, sweepers and elevation changes...Video does no justice at all..I was ~ 130MPH each direction in these videos...enjoy. 2002 Corvette won the Unlimited class with a blistering 172.696 AVERAGE speed! Trap speed was 209 mph

The pathfinder mod has been proven to not lower temps. It just dissipates the heat better in the heads. If the temp actually lowered then that means it wasn't pulling the heat out of the heads properly.

It works great to equalize combustion temps and make more consistent cylinder temps but that will only be evident if you use pyrometers to check EGTs from each cylinder.

I think everybody agrees on this. It won't lower your temperature in any way but it will flow coolant through the heads better for more even temps. Good mod for longevity in motorsports.

I guess I was confused on the OP. It sounded like he was claiming it lowered the coolant temps so all I could think about was "here we go again with more nonsense"

if it really was beneficial, they woulda added it back to the GTR.

But they didnt, so any improved cooling flow is just speculation at best

You're comparing a VR38DETT to a VQ35DE, which have vastly different block designs and coolant flow characteristics. I understand what you're trying to say but that's not a good analogy to use.

In any case, the topic of the Pathfinder Mod's effectiveness has been beaten to death in numerous threads. I don't think we need another.

And now the link leads to a bunch of videos that were removed, so this thread is extra pointless (for the time being, at least).

The videos have not been removed..they are still there and I am only saying the pathfinder mod is a HUGE benefit to ME and MY car...there is probably less than 1% of people on this board that pushes their car to the speeds I do for the prolonged periods I do..so all this speculation on peoples parts is PURE ********.Period. There is a VAST improvement on cooling flow with this mod, but to all the armchair quarterbacks they will never know because they don't do what I do..After 4 races out at big bend and always having to keep an eye on the temps and overheating EVERY race until now, I can say from EXPERIENCE not SPECULATION that this mod WORKS...This 5th race was the first time the temp never exceeded 180 degrees and I was able to relax and just drive not fearing I was going to cook a 20k motor..so frankly I don't give a **** what you all think..I KNOW it works..

Can this mod be added to a engine without taking it out?? or is it very hard/impossible. ?

will be a pretty tight fit but possible, you might have to remove the studs though but theres enough room to get back there with the intake off so dont see why you couldnt.

I am going to get a vortech SC installed,so I thought of adding this while iam at it, but not removing the engine off the car.
