Default Crank pulley upgrade for Vortech

Wanted to gets some thoughts from those who either have or are considering upgrading their crank pulley in order to extract more power from their superchargers.

Stock DE crank pulley: 5.75”

Fluidamper crank pulley: 6.125

ATI crank pulley: 6.61”

Simply put the larger the crank pulley and the smaller the supercharger pulley the faster you will spin the blower and hence the more power you will produce. Using calculations from Vortech’s impeller calculator, upgrading crank pulley you would still be within the blowers RPM limit.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

When I was on the stock motor I installed a Fluidampr as well since it helped spin the blower faster, I believed a gained over 1 psi of boost at redine.

I still have it installed. No complaints with it, its a lot better than running the OEM crank pulley as it only dampens a certain range of vibrations/shock from the crankshaft, Both the ATI and Fluidampr are good buys for dampening at all engine speeds.

If you wanna spin the blower hard, go with ATI.

I’m hearing there’s intermittent problems with the AC system for those running the ATI, I don’t remember the cause at the top of my head.

Personally I’m running the Fluidampr.

Given 53K max impeller speed for the V3SCi, and 52k for the V2 it seems the ATI would over spin the impeller by a slight amount at 6500 revs.

V7 Max speed is 65K.
