Default Ceramic coating recommendations

Hello all,

I am going to ceramic coat my turbo exhaust manifolds and downpipes. Goal is to help keep engine bay temps and radiant temps down, as well as radiant temps around the clutch / transmission. Also just to help maintain and preserve the pieces.

I've spent a while looking around for a reputable East Coast shop to do this. Jet-hot seems the most legit with many different options as well as a lifetime guarantee. I called their rep and was recommended 2500 degree for the manifolds and 2000 for the downpipes. Here's the kicker, I was quoted a total of around $675 for all four pieces. Seems stupid high to me but what do I know.

So my questions to the community is, does this seem high? Anyone experienced with any good shops East Coast wise? If anyone could point me to a good place it'd be much appreciated, or even any input on whether the $675 is OK for Jet-hot.

Thanks

YES that seems quite high as in double.....I have seen different prices from 3 different places....150 for manifolds, 100-150 for downpipes.....check around...swain, techline, etc......

I just sent out my headers to Nitroplate in TN. It was $200. You might want to give them a call. I read some bad reviews about Jet-hot on the hotrod forums, most people liked Nitroplate. I haven't got my headers back, so I can't really comment good or bad on their work.

Nitroplate, gotcha! Thanks I will check them out. TN is close so that is good too.

Hooker, I will also check out your recommendations too, thanks!

This is what I used on my 321 stainless headers. No coating. Seems to work well. Wrap on any exposed bits...
