12SecZ,

You must have inadvertantly meshed mine and SKiDaZZLe's set up. Mine is the following:

Greddy TT @ 8lbs, stock internals, 440cc injectors, Provec e-01 boost controller, BOV, TS reflash, fine tuning with e-manage, RT high flow cats, Borla TD exhaust = 404 rwhp & 383 rwtq. Walbro 255L ntake fuel pump. Runs and sounds great, but will need a much better clutch very very soon.

SKiDaZZLe's set up is a bit different and is seeing a bit more power.

Thumbs up LOL, Correction :) thanks!

12SECZ
ATI 9 lbs (38-25 pulleys) 380cc Injectors, TS reflash to control more fuel, retard timing and sense boost. Stock Internals. Crawford Plenum, Borla Headers, RT Cats, Borla True Dual , , Very Happy. Guages in spec. A5T no shifting issues. Resolved belt tearing issues , A/F 11.2 to 12.2 at WOT. EGT under 8.25C*100 at 9 PSI. Runs excellent. *Tuner Kit with FMIC, NO DFMU*

Zimbo
Vortech @ 8 lbs stock internals with IC. Stillen exhaust Split Second FTC1 Fuel/Timing Calibrator in voltage mode driven off of the stock MAF sensor. Runs great, HP and torque curves are very smooth. Timing retard increases from an extra 2 degrees up to 6 degrees at 6000 rpm. A/F wavers from 11.5 to 12.2 but plot shows that fuel is richer at 500 rpm increments than in between due to the interval at which SS box can be tweaked.

elektrik_juggernaut
ATI "100% Complete" 7lb. kit w/ Aeromotive FMU on totally stock car Verdict= needs a timing solution, and a better AF solution......detonation at around 6K and up.....but good power

jesseenglish
ATI kit only seeing 6 PSI of boost Using J&S safeguard to retard timing. Timing retard settings are .5 degree per PSI + 4 degrees of retard gradually phased in from 5250 - 6250. Borla dual exhaust Verdict= Runs great, but need more power. Losing lots of power because of my high elevation and rich A/F ratio.

spazpilot
Greddy TT kit 8psi-9psi TS ECU reflash with 380cc injectors and the greddy e manage for fine tuning.

ravaz
ATI Procharger @ 7psi w/ Aeromotive EFMU and stock injectors. J&S Safeguard retarding timing, 8 degrees at redline. Injen exhaust, headers, no cats. Verdict: Runs great, lots of power and torque. Ran some 12's already.

narkotic
G35 Vortech kitwith custom HKS cat back exhaust. A/F from 11:1 - 11:8 or so, timing corrected via the Splitsecond box. Runs very well and has linear power. Increase of a little over 100hp.

mprowe350
2003 350z Track w/procharger. Shows 8.5psi at 6500 and runs very rich thanks to the DFMU included w/kit. Car is extremly fast to me and revs very smooth and quick. Car is stock except for Borla True Dual exhaust. Dyno shows 361rwhp.

shaun_walsh
Running Greddy TT at 5.6 Boost with e-manage. After my CC cools down a bit I will Go to TS and get a reflash. Other wise I am runningthe standard Greddy kit and dynoed at 352. See my sig for other mods. Cat Back Exhaust Stillen Grounding Kit Stillen
Flywheel Stillen Pulleys UR

Eagle1
Running ATI Procharger with 7lbs pulley. 346.6 rwhp on dyno jet before reflash of ECU, after which adjusted timing, and can run it up to 7100. Installing gauges next week, and J&S the week after. Then will do a redyno and A/F mapping, so will be able to do a much better report for you. So far it is running very happy. (Keep us updated.) Borla Headers/Cat back exhaust RT cats Technosquare ECU reprogram Apexi/Greddy gauges

cwhit_5
running the stock greddy kit at 5.6psi of boost..NISMO exhaust only other performance mod.

Daking
ATI with 38-25 tooth pulleys(good for about 8 1/2 lbs)
Aeromotive DFMU
Perfect Power SMT6 piggyback
Full Borla Exhaust(no headers yet)
Cat pipes Gobs of TQ down low, snapping belts on the compressor, ran a 12.4 @110mph

t32gzz
7 psi as daily driver, 8.5 psi for racing. Greddy TT, DFMU, SAFC II, Aeromotive Tsunami inline fuel pump, TS flash, Stillen exhaust, custom down pipes. Made 450RWHP.

SKiDaZZLe
custom twin garrett gt28 turbos, w/ FMIC, running 5 and 8.5lbs. 3" turbo back exhaust with no cats, single outlet muffler and open wastegates.
stock internals
engine control for now:
fuel: stock injectors, dfmu + tsunami inline pump, super-afc2, walbro 255lph intank pump
timing: TS flash
boost: profec b spec 2
running 426HP on high-boost setting.
a/f ratio is under 12 full RPM range.

Yancy

Borla seems to be popular as does the reflash.

Lightbulb This thread could use a good updating

I last left off here:

**********

With that setup I ran into a few problems. For one my RT Cats failed causing major issues. I changed them out for the Stillen straight through pipes which I love. I also added a larger fuel pump, the Walbro 190lph which is good for about 415-450rwhp. Then I topped it off with the Edge Racing Converter at 3000 stall.

It is in the 100's here and the car was running warm and even hot with the A/C on due to the intercooler placement etc. I changed my radiator mixture to more water, a little less anti freeze and Redline Water Water Combo and changed my plugs to the NGK Irradiums. Also, dispite what has been said you can gap these if you are careful and mine are gapped at .39 roughly.

Bottom line is I have been able to increased my torque, decreased my heat overall, increase my spark and run lower A/F and EGT numbers while maintaining a perfect idle.

After aprox 7 thousand miles with this engine being supercharged(a brand new 2004 engine, car has aprox 15k total)
at a high boost level of between 9 and 10 lbs I beleive I can comforrtably say that the car is ultra safe and runs perfect. I haven't had any issues or failures at 9-10 PSI and I think it is because of the TS flash, the more fuel, the higher intake plenum and the wide open exhaust. I have raced, did burn outs, WOT runs, city driving and lenghty travel and it continues to run like a top.

I am very happy with how the car turned out and the exhaust fix and fuel pump seem to have brought the TS flash all together. It actually runs better than it ever has. Any other updates , problems or comments on others setups, what you changed, what you added or subtracted and how your car runs now?

Default Vortech

Vortech...7.6lb's of boost on a 3.125 jackshaft pulley .Tuned A/F to 11.8 to 12.2 , timing one degree every 500rpm srarting at 4,000rpm .350whp on a Mustang dyno . Verdict....Great kit..runs great..just wish I had full boost..Vortech says its because I have headers....And thats no joke

GReddy TT installed March '04, 5AT Touring
E-manage, FMIC, type-S BOV, NKG Iridium plugs 1 degree cooler, Nismo thermostat, 440 CC injectors
Stillen SS exhaust
2400 miles at 5.6 psi no problems, no leaks, smooth idle, no dyno

The car has not been driven hard during this period, no speeds in excess of freeway 90mph, very few WOT...not fun but I'm being cautious until tuning...

August '04 back to shop for:
Oil change to synthetic
Install Crawford plenum & strut bar
Upgrade fuel system to return, Walbro 255, new FPR, modified fuel rail (ACP's solution)
Install Ignition harness & pressure sensor harness
Replace wastegate gaskets
Boost to stay as is....

Tuning scheduled for Fall '04 when temps are cooler.

esemes::

vortech v2, with crawford plenum, oem headers, crawford h/f cats, fujitsubo dual channel cross-balanced Y-pipe and mid-back 3" SS exhaust.......

acheived 400.5 rwhp/344.9lb-ft tq(sae correct, 98°F, 52% humidity) with the 312 pulley, seeing 9 lbs at oem redline; tuning (a/f and ignition) all custom mapped on a mustang load control dyno (384.6rwhp loaded) 11.25 a/f targeted thruout the band...

acheived ___ with new 287 pulley, seeing over 11lbs at 6500(±), with 10lbs at 6000(±) (with new belt, slight micro-slip.. i think..lol).... (the perfect midrange, IMO)
more after monday's sessions....

Once again we see the exhaust and fuel coming into play in the good setups. Keep it coming!

I'll go ahead and post mine:
2003 350 Z Touring 6MT
-- Greddy TT
-- FMIC
-- Greddy Type-S BOV
-- E01 Controller
-- Crawford Cats
-- EFI WB Sensor
-- JWT Clutch
-- JWT Flywheel
-- Hotchkis F/R Sways
-- Walbro 255
-- Aeromotive A1000-6 FPR
-- Fuel Return System
-- NX N-Tercooler
-- Wilwood 14" F/R
-- Timing Harness
-- WB Harness
-- OEM Track Wheels
-- Toyo T-1s

Stock internals, for now.
Engine Control: E-Manage
Fuel: 440 Injectors, Walbro 255lph, Aeromotive 1:1 FPR
Timing: Greddy Timing Harness
Boost Controller: E01
Exhaust: Crawford Cats, stock muffler
I am 406/397 to the wheels @ 8.5 PSI <-- we were rushed and could have tuned it a bit better.
A/F is barely under 12 full RPM range. Having it re-tuned and lowering A/F.

To be installed very soon:
Borla TD (Hoping for some gains here)
Crawford Plenum and Strut Bar
Pressure Sensor Harness
Re-Tuned using the pressure sensor harness

5k miles on the kit, I had a problem with an exhaust leak, had it fixed with Metal Turbonetic gaskets. Other than that I have been just enjoying the booooost....pssshhhhhhhh.
