Default New (Sema Nov 2013) Vortech V2 Ti-Trim Blower

New Shown @ Sema 2013, Vortech V2 Ti Trim Blower

This is all the Info I have.

Question

Will this be offered in H/D Race Level with the V2 Gear Box, and will it move 1400cfm, If so this would be a great mid range blower (between a V1 T-Trim and a V7 Ysi-Trim) for guys with built motors looking for 650Whp

Back in the Day, Vortech offered the V1 in STD and H/D Race Level, Hopfully they are doing the same with the V2 Now….

I got to say Vortech is the worst about getting info out on New Products, They have tons of P/N's for Blower Assemblies that are not on the Website, and next to nothing on a Google Search.

When a vortech can make a consistent 600+whp on a Z without self destructing or shredding belts on a regular basis I'll give it a golf clap.

I just ordered one. I'll post some updates when I get it in and installed.

I have not heard of any Vortech Blowers Self Destructing!

A Vortech with a 928 impeller and rebuild came apart.

A YSi was Feed a Hose coupling and came apart.

The same YSi with a heavy aftermarket Impeller came apart.

There were Belt Issues 10 years ago, But I Fixed that….. most other belt issues are from improper installation. I've Never had a Belt Shred in 50,000 miles.

OK so you don't like Superchargers….. O Well.

My problem before was that I was spinning a blower to 60+k rpm to produce 600 whp this blower should make those numbers all within its rpm range.

So are you saying you won't have to run such a small pulley to achieve the power numbers thus not spinning the crap out of the blower? If so, go for it.

I didn't bother to read up on it because I thought that it would be limited the same way Colombo and people like him who don't reliably make the power. BUT if he can make the power without over spinning the supercharger, I think he will be very happy with it.

Oldmanz, I saw your post about this on yellowbullet awhile back. Not a lot of supercharger love there turbo or nitrous with those guys.

928M advertises "almost 1200CFMs @50K", while Vortech is advertising 1400CFMs @55K. Without knowing how many CFMs Colombo was making @60K+, I would say, at worse, Colombo should make the same power spinning the Ti blower to 55K assuming everything else is equal. To slow the blower down, he'll have to use larger pulleys which should help with belt wrap and performance.

The only issue I have with this, is although he may make the power he was at, there really isn't anymore room to upgrade from where he is, if he ever gets the power bug again, he will have to look else where.

This is an UPGRADE…….

From a Modified (Street) Vortech Blower Likely moving 1150cfm about the Si-Trim (that Came Apart)

To a H/D (Race) Vortech Blower moving 1400cfm (that will hold together)

I am not arguing with you... I swear you work for Vortech the way you are defending it...

The problem is, that it isn't that big of an upgrade for him. I am willing to bet he will make about 600hp at 55k RPM. Then what? He doesn't have enough displacement to make more power on it.

Remember he was spinning his to almost 70k RPM
