Default Do u guys still think Greddy TT should

Use smaller turbo's than the TD05H 18G's?
I’m looking at the dyno graphs from the TT 350Z's and I'm noticing that the power comes very smooth and increase to the red line. It looks like a SC graph and that means, the turbos are not even running close to their efficiency range. I’m sure this kit will do better with two TD04 or TD05 15G's which is enough for almost 500rwhp. The nice thing about them that they will be more efficient and gives the TT the edge over the SC in making more power earlier in the RPM. The idea of getting a TT is because it gives more TQ and power under the curve before the red line. I think Greddy should think about this. They can also lower their price if they used the TD05 15G's and they still can sell the TD05 18G's as a tuner kit for the people who has built motor and want to push 16psi and over. Just a thought i had to share

I agree some smaller turbos that spool faster would be better. You really have to work at driving the car in the "right" way to get the power that you want...when you want it. I have found that the power is always there, but youy have to think about it to get it working for you. Maybe I am just not experienced enough with turbos, but that has been my experience.

I have also expereinced some exhaust feed back into the car some times. Have you had that happen?

I think having the bigger turbos could be a benifit. We have enough torque on the bottom end so why more. It will cause even more tire smoke. also with the larger turbo we won't be driving around in boost as much as you would on a smaller turbo setup. It runs cooler and more efficent, but i will be able to tell you more if I still feel this way by the end of the month.

The turbos that UR and SSR are running are not small in anyway.

Larger turbos are nice when u run them in their efficiency range and in this case its between 15-18psi for the TD05H 18G's. Using TD04 15G's will be more than enough for a stock bottom end 350Z. They will give more TQ down low and same HP as the 18G's because they are running in their efficiency range. My friend's Stealth was running two TD04 15G's at 18psi and it make 420whp on pump gas!!! That is through all four wheels on a 3L motor. U can spin the TD04/TD05 15G's up to 22psi on race gas with no problems. If u had a built 350Z and u are planning to run over 15psi then i will say go with the TD05H 18G with out even thinking about it twice.

I think the TD05 turbine is very well suited to this application. It works well with a stock motor, and has a lot of room for growth.
