Default Belt hopping after installing GTM Pully mod on Vortech v3. Need some advice

Yesterday we installed the GTM pulley mod with all supplied parts (minus the bolt as we didn't have a tap for it).

My car is using the revised belt set up.

we had to grind down the cam cover but it is still rubbing just a little bit.

on the first start the belt was slapping the **** out of the blower pulley..

we ground more of the cam cover down and tightened the crap out of the belt.

the slapping went away but there was still a sound coming from the belt whenever the letters hit the vortech pulley.

I drove home 1 hour yesterday with no problems.

I drive to work this morning and the belt has come off the edge of the vortech pully and is slapping again.

any ideas why this is happening?

Pictures attached as well.

This may be a stupid question...but is the belt properly aligned with the other ribbed pulleys? (ie crank, alternator, power steering)

yes everything was ligned up and i drove the car everything was fine yesterday.

then this morning its hopped off the edge of the SC pulley.

im wondering if the belt is bad or maybe we put the GTM pully too close to the SC pulley.

Well, I would take off the GTM pully and re-install everything and see if the belt still hops, to isolate if the GTM pulley is the cause...

Did you really need a gtm pulley for 3.12? I think my blower comes with a 3.33 or 3.12 but didn't think that I would have belt slip

That's the 2.87 pulley. I tuned at 11lbs with belt slippage.

I think we put the pulley to close to the vortech pulley. Moved it over to the left about an inch and put on a brand new belt the other one was already very chewed up.

Problem is fixed.
