Default WTF?! Vortech Question

So im busy installing my V3 kit, and I get the mounting plate all set up and I attach the blower and I go to install it on my car and I realize the blower isnt oriented properly.

That album has the necessary pictures.

So my question is, can i loosen the 6 allen head bolts holding the blower together and rotate it so that it faces the correct direction? Should I drain the oil out of it first? Are there any gasket issues I should be worried about?

I got the kit on here and the seller never mentioned anything being wrong with it

Thanks for reading lol....

You need to loosen the bolts in the pic below that hold the hardware that fastens the volute in place. No need to drain anything. DO NOT remove the gear cover.

Alright cool thanks man, just lay it on its face, loosen those bolts, and rotate it to the correct orientation and then re-tighten it? Any recommended torque specs for those bolts?

Thanks for your help

Basically; I don't know what the formal torque spec is; hand tight should be sufficient, but you can loctite them to be **** safe.

use a sharpie to mark the clocking of the bolts before you loosen them. When tightening, go back to the same point and you will be very close on torque. Perhaps go a degree or two further if you wish.

I'm having a little trouble getting the volute lined up correctly to properly mate up with the discharge pipe.

Could someone please take a picture looking directly down onto the blower so I can try and get it lined up correctly? I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks
