I think the Carbonetics is good to about 750 whp. I have never detected mine slipping. Mike's started slipping beyond 750 whp if I remember correctly. I'm not there yet.

I think ATS is the replacement for the Carbonetics, and they have newer versions that supposedly will hold much more hp, specifically their Spec II versions. They are very pricey, but if they are anywhere near as smooth as the Carbonetics, they may be a good choice. If my Carbonetics triple ever gives out, I will probably try the ATS.

It would be nice if anyone who has used the ATS triple disc could give some feedback.

So after raising the slider up to about 80% the pedal pressure has gone way down. The engagement point is down as well. May thread the rod out some more to raise the engagement point up some.

But it seems to make the car much easier to drive.

Awesome, I'm glad to hear the change in AFP setting improved all three things you were unhappy with in your above posts.
The increase in AFP setting changed the leverage ratio of the pedal giving you more power over the master cylinder, much like moving the center point on a child's tetter-totter ( ----/\-------- ).

Doing this made the pedal pressure to operate the clutch go down in response to the increase in leverage.

The increase in leverage caused the amount of master cylinder movement relative to every inch of pedal travel to decrease. This reduced the engagement point as the master cylinder is no longer going full stroke.

The fact that the leverage increased and the master cylinder is now stroking less for every inch of pedal arm movement makes the entire system less sensitive to small changes in pedal position as you release the clutch. This combined with a lighter pedal makes it easier to drive as the modulation zone is spread over a wider range of pedal arm movement and lighter is simply easier to modulate on release.

I hope that allows you to better enjoy your OSG Twin

If I keep my car i'm gonna pick one of these up, I wanted to originally but was told they weren't compatible with the wilwood master, now that it's an option, it would make my OSG Twin much more pleasant for sure.

Keep adjusting to try and get it where I wanted. The engagement point was just so far from the floor still.

So here is what i did:
I set the AFP to 100% and the turned the MC threads until the clutch was not disengaging (hard to or impossible to get into gear). I then lowered the AFP down to say 75% and left the MC the same. Goes in to gear just fine, no creeping. Now the engagement starts soon after lifting off the floorboard. Going to drive it and see if i like it.

I want to get the engagement down low and minimize the engagement window to where im not having to lift my knee way up to just let off the clutch. Driving this OS Giken has been a real PITA. But at 2k dollars a piece...swapping to another twin is a hard pill to swallow.

Unsprung. Install was however OS says to install it. That was so many years ago I'm not sure what the exact way to install it is.

Mine held 819 without problems. Carbonetics triple. I'm not a high mileage car but I have yet to have issues with it even with bias ply tires that hook.

ATS purchased the rights to carbonetics clutches. Comparing my carbonetics to the ATS replacement discs showed zero difference.

I know os giken has different levels and things so that might help on how smooth they are and the power but my os twin failed around 550hp (tq was in the same range). When I called and talked to OS about it not holding power the guy told me that the twin wouldn't hold past 500tq and I needed an upgraded clutch. Pretty expensive clutch that only holds 500tq IMO.

Does anyone have a comparison of feel and power on an rps twin or triple compared to the Carbonetics/ATS triple? I've driven a few rps cars with twins, but only about 500-600whp range. Felt good, but not sure they will hold well north of 800 for any long period of time.
