New Koyo radiator: VH021568

Anyone heard of the new Koyo Radiator: VH021568 Hyper V series?
I'm wondering if it performs up to par with the R2577 53mm Koyo, if not better.

Well its main advantage is that its smaller, so you can put bigger fans in there for pesky traffic driving, which is my main issue with my built engine/FI combo...
I also painted the radiator black as well, and so far, with the help of the bigger fans, it seems to be performing better than the 53mm Koyo, at least in traffic; heat soak seems to take a little longer, and I haven't gotten my water temps above 220 (though I still can't help but turn on the heater at 210 just to be safe)...now I'm still not going to regularly use the AC with impunity, but still its an improvement...

My temps are usually around 90c-100celcius which is same as you...I have the double row koyo with mishimoto fan shroud. So your suggesting go with this radiator and maybe a beefier fan shroud? Which fans are you running? I'm also going to switch to evans coolant.

Well, the real issue is where you get your temp issues...if you have temp issues in traffic then you probably need better fans...if you have temp issues when tracking/boosting, then you probably need a bigger radiator...
That being said, since you have a turbo setup and not have to gobble up space between the radiator and engine like I do with my Vortech setup, then you may be able to get the best of both worlds (big fans, big radiator) just getting a big honking Koyo 53mm may be all you need, unless you already got that, then you can swap those mishimoto fans out of your shroud with some bigger SPAL fans; there are some threads of some people doing that mod
I have a frankenstein setup because of my vortech fitment, hence my need for the thinner radiator...I use a big flex a lite black magic fan (3000cfm) combined with a flix a lite 220 (1000cfm)...

I have my fans turn on at >195-200 F via uprev...usually takes less than a min to go back down to 190 F where the fans shut off...bigger fans may help you with dropping temps at idle....
That being said, when there's too much heat soak, even when my fans are at full blast the water temps will keep rising, slowy, but surely...but I only have these issues in traffic, I don't usually have these issues when driving normally...
High temps when boosting is normal and 100 C water temp isn't too bad...when you hit 230 F (110 C) then I would worry...

I put this in my car to replace the older 53mm koyo that I broke.
Its slightly thinner (48mm vs 53) and the fins are WAY denser. I was a bit worried about airflow but after a day on the track it seems to work better than the old 53mm.
Also as a bonus it has a temp probe bung on the top near the inlet.
If you're considering this radiator you better already have a big oil cooler.

I have a supercharger setup so I don't really need to cool the turbo down like you turbo guys do...
And my blower is oil cooled and I've haven't really had any siginificant oil temp issues, even in traffic, its mostly water temps that I've had to work on...I do have an oil cooler setup...

Yeah...I've always thought it was weird that I have more water temp issues than oil temp issues...you can usually run your oil temps higher than water temps (up to 250 F)

Its weird...every built motor I've had had some sort of water temp issue, but usually in traffic, not when boosting...
I never really had any water temp issues on my stock block, but I was only running about ~450whp when that blew...
