Default Upgraded Injectors

Is anyone who is getting a turbo kit looking to swap injectors and turbos?? I am wondering if that is possible with the GREDDY kit or if I'm stuck using the stock ones. Yes, I would change out the internals. I have a buddy that can balance and blue print the motor. So, i'm wondering if anyone has any experience with that. If so, where would I get the injectors?

There have been many posts about this, so try a search for original info.

Here is a recap from memory (not always the best source of data )

1. Greddy kit comes with 440 injectors and no provisions to retard timing. 440 injectors don't match the stock wiring harness so some soldering is required.

2. In order to avoid some of the above hassle, there are a number of people running 380 injectors that do plug directly into the stock harness. They then get an ECU reflash to control both the new injectors and add some timing retard in the upper RPM ranges. I know of people doing this with ATI procharger, but not sure about Gretty TT kit (I'm pretty sure I remember reading about people who didn't want to mess with the wiring harness and therefore used different injectors than those that came with the Greddy kit, but I can't remember exactly who that was).

3. There are still others using a mixture of DFMU, larger injectors, SAFC, and other components to really go nuts. Look for posts by z32tt or something like that (EDIT: It's t32gzz) (I think he has a kit that can go up to 8.5 psi).

You should still be able to use the 380 cc injectors with the e-manage and a Profec e-01 controller.....you just would have to initialize the pre-programmed e-manage (erase it) and do you're own maps with the 380's. Just as a point of interest...... you can purchase the factory sub-harness that hooks to the injectors for cheap. You can then do the 440cc injector mod before you do the Greddy tt installation to take some time off and make sure everything is perfect and looks factory. A little better working on the harness off the motor.

Thanks for giving me the abridged version. I'll search around.

Is this the injector harness that still need to be solder in? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

yep, the wires need to be spliced and soldered. I decide to use the 380's with the techno ecu for my greddy kit. turned out pretty good over all and I didn't have to cut any wires

From your install you're still using the e-manage right. So is the techno flash just to retard timing, raise the rev limiter, remove speed limiter, and utilize the PE 380 CC Injectors?

No emange!! I didn't want to cut anything in the main harness, so TS build me a fuel and timing map for 8psi using the 380 injectors. The injectors just slipped in and the a/f will see when I take it to the dyno. As for now I am only driving aroud at 7psi. I didn't even splice to extend the wirers for the windshield washer. So no windsheild washer till I have some one make me a extended plug in harness. Is that bad or what ?

Ditto here, TS, P.E. 380cc's plopped in and flashed to 9 lbs better Plug N PLay than Bill Gates could ever dream of. Car runs good thousands of miles later, mods in sig, It's a simple option and a good one, but just one of many .
