Default Max HP on 07 HR

Hi fellas, new to the forums... I have an 07 350z that I'm dropping a new HR motor in... I have searched for answers to what I thought would be an easy question to find online but nothing... I had a rod go through my oil pan of the last motor, I have a Greddy TT setup and was wanting to know recommended HP so I don't have to worry about detonation and which components are weak? Is it the block itself or the rods/pistons? Any input would be appreciated

So like how much boost can the stock motor reliably handle?

Great question, I'd like to know too!

From what I've heard, our stock engines are prone to failure anywhere north of 450hp.....

I believe the biggest factor is torque, and thought you wanted to keep it at or under 400. Every Z is different, some will run that perfectly for a long duration, some will die quickly, it just depends. Get a compression test along with a leak down test.

I've never had FI (not in my Z) but this is from reading so take that with a grain of salt. Maybe one day I'll have my ST though

Mad? Who said anything about being mad lmfao??? If you don't have input then why say anything? Lazy cause I took the time to write a post instead of reading threads from 2009 with words like "maybe, should, I heard, and we don't know yet"??? I thought maybe there'd be some more up to date and a little more solid info... Im pretty sure I apologized for the "inconvenience"... #beatyodumbass2015

With the outburst of new member posting ridiculous threads and you showing up in most of them, i cant help but see a certain connection. Im willing to go as far as to say that you probably made multiple new accounts to see if vets act in such a way or if it was your fault in the first place. But since i have no proof im just gonna leave it as an assumption.

In respect to the forums and its members, in not going to argue with an over sensitive child who complains on every thread

I don't mean to be rude, but you're fairly new. After being here a while you will realize these same questions coming in day in, day out get fairly aggravating. And it's not even the fact it's a re post, it's the fact that they didn't even try to search themselves where the answer is obvious. Not many members here mind answering questions. Hell, that's what majority of this site is. But, we just like a well formatted question.

Again, it's nothing against you, and eventually you'll see if you stick around enough.

Still running the ip config though boi
