Default AT and FI limit?

Hey guys, I have an 03z and i plan to go FI and maybe buy a Z1 built engine from Z1 motorsports. Will i run into any issues pushing 800whp+ on an automatic transmission? What are the limits on the automatic transmissions?

Exactly. It's the build I want, can anyone help with the question I originally asked instead of gawking over the amount of money I would spend? lol

"The exact build i want." Couldnt tell the difference between the de and the hr....

Lets be real here... chances are youre not dropping 30k on this car. Youre not going to break 800whp. And if you did, you wouldnt be using a stock auto yo do it...

Yes, it can, if built properly. I'm over 750whp at 25psi and 560whp for my DD tune at 15psi. Full disclosure, this is my 2nd transmission, because the first one blew up!

How does a built engine dictate a trans lasting longer?

Maybe I missed where he said he wasn't willing to upgrade the factory AT.

An upgraded AT can handle the power levels, if built properly. Obviously, a factory AT can't even handle half of that power reliably.

First off. What the ****, did you accidentally wander over here from the douche nozzle section of 4chan? Just because at one point I didn't know the difference in the engine models? Let's be real here, you're just being *******. I'm not here to waste anyone's time, and yes I'm serious about spending quite a bit of money on this car, even if I have to sell it and buy one with a manual transmission. If that's the answer, just say so and go back to selling lube at autozone. ****.

Secondly, to everyone else who's actually giving me real answers, thanks.
I know AAM makes an AT upgrade to support 500+whp found here https://www.z1motorsports.com/transm...de-p-8354.html. I'm willing to go get a manual if I need to, I'm sure it would make it easier, and would support higher levels of power, but at what point is that my only option for more power? 500whp? 600whp? 700whp? Does anyone have any support documentation as to why?

Sorry getting pissed, but don't act like you know me and be a dick. Thanks.

See my 1st reply. I am running over 750WHP with a built AT. It is possible, but not many have done it.

Built is another story. We have a newbie here. I doubt he knows what building a trans is

And his first post says buying a built engine. Nothing about trans

Call John @ Z1, he's their tuner and has an outstanding reputation. He should be able to set expectations for you.

Talk is cheap and any noib can dream of 800whp.

First of all, you bought a crap z, already a bad idea as a base to built on. Secondly, not knowing the basic of the car, i doubt youre capable of do8ng the work. 3rdly, since more than likely youre jot doing the work, just drop it off at a shop and let them take care of it instead of wasting everyones time here.

If you follow through, which i doubt you will, i will be glad to shove my foot in my mouth. but chances are, you and many other noobs, think these cars are just like the civic where power is easy and parts are cheap. Theyre not. End of story. A proper built for 800whp is going to run over 50k. I doubt youre going to coin that. With that said, slap some nitrous one and blow the car up, same effect and alot cheaper than a cheaply built turbo set up

30K OR 50K? Is this USD or Monopoly money? If this Monopoly money, are we talking pre-2008 release, needing 2-4 games needed to pay for 800whp or post -2008 release, needing 2-3 games to pay for this?
