ATI coming SOON......Estimate on RWHP with basline at 256???
Greddy, Technosquare, J&S, Fisher, Perfect Power, choose it or lose it bro even with PERFECT A/F.
Try 8 degrees off the top, this is why I left my tuning to the experts, I am not going to pretend to be a Japanese programmer at the expense of a $6500.00 engine! Plus they measure at the Cat not the tail pipe!

I will be adding 3-4 gallons of 105 octane unleaded gasoline per tank of gas when I get my car back from Grubbs. They are installing the ATI Procharger, 2 steps colder plugs gapped at .030 and setting the A/F mixture at 11.5/1 on the dyno. If I ever get tired of the hassle of mixing the high test I'll invest in a J&S or even better, a split second black box from Vortech.
If anything, using the 105 octane fuel should result in a substantial gain in power....

now im scared to get the ATI.........is Vortech ok right out of the box with correct tuning and what about Greddy? See guys all I want to do is put down 330-360rwhp with some type of F/I that after tuned to correct A/F ratios is done and runs well...........you all making the ATI sound as if it is no good out of the box, is that because no timing adjust kit comes with it? Vortech comes with one so it must be ok and greddy 2 right?, right? So if i understand correctly, the ATI kit is only lacking timing adjust.....right.........yes or no?

ATI+Technosquare+PE injectors=happiness
sure you can take the dfmu box of wires and the J&S box of wires and makes something that works okay........or you can go straight in to your ECM, change the volumetric efficiency and have it set up perfectly with timing and A/F right where they need to be.....the detonation danger is in the timing, regardless of A/F........how you take care of it is a personal preference.........asking for opinions here is asking for trouble.......investigate both thoroughly, and use what you feel meets your needs the best

I don't own any of the kits, but here's my summary from what I've seen (basically what's been said already).
1. ATI - A good kit, but missing timing. This needs to be addressed. The tuner kit with ECU and larger injectors seems to be a very simple, clean way of handling the timing and fuel issues. Great for those who plan on doing most mods at once, and also have easy access to Technosquare.
2. Vortech - A great kit out of the box. Addresses both fuel and timing by installing a higher pressure fuel pump and using the splitsecond device. People seem to have very good results, but it looks like custom tuning of the splitsecond device is very important.
If I had easy access to Technosqare, I'd probably go for the "cleaner" install (IMO) of the ATI tuner kit with the larger injectors and the ECU adjustment.
If I lived far from Technosquare, I'd probably go with the Vortech and look very diligently for a shop that was familiar with the tuning of that kit.
I don't think I'd get the full ATI kit with the J&S, unless I really wanted to do some high boost and was looking for a setup that was quite flexible

Thank you D'oh..........I think you are the only one on the thread who speaks ENGLISH!!!!
Thanks again!

I plan on hooking up my 'ol trusty deto sensor and seeing where the deto strikes are if any....
I'm not too worried right now. Phillips 105 octane should do two things for me. 1. Reduce or eliminate the possibilty of detonation and 2. allow for a cooler running engine and reduce power reduction from the knock sensor (ie: should equal more power). My air/fuel ratios are at 11.5
Wish me luck....

The SS box (go to www.splitsec.com for details) can indeed be programmed and comes unprogrammed and with the necessary software if you purchase it from SplitSecond rather than as part of the Vortech kit.
