Ah oh, it's been 10 weeks and no updates. Did he blow it up? That HKS supercharger is a trick little item, even if it doesn't have the potential of other options. Big problem is if you have a problem with their supercharger, it's gonna be a long term problem, like months.

Interesting. Those are some odd power figures based on hks's stats. The auto isn't gonna hold that torque for too long, assuming those figures are accurate.

That dyno has weird numbers and units.

It looks to me like 436ps which is right about 430rwhp.
Torque looks like its in Kg/m which means 50kg/m is about 360rwtq

I still have my HKS blower new in box for the Z. Maybe this summer.
With my Lexus 1JZ going EFR9180 and the MR2 going hybrid 7age right now I'm kinda short on time to play with the Z.

For what its worth, looks like Z1 has run the GTS8555 blower to the tune of 427hp/380tq

Oh yeah. Didn't watch the vid. Still, assuming your conversion is correct, odd numbers for both cars.
Screw the other 2 cars, gotta work on the best of the 3 and that be the Z, naaa meee!
I was initially referring to aks14 and it having been months since an update but it looks like you've had your's for 8 months now. Is that right?
Maybe the initial rush of the thought of this s.c. is great and once ya get it it's like, meh.

I have the charger all bolted up and ready to go, I just havent had time to clean up a few things in the engine bay I wanted to do before slapping the motor back in, so shes still sitting on the engine stand.

Hopefully within the next month or two I'll get it back in there and get some baseline results for everybody.

Not a numbers guy but I always thought the dyno's were
Dynopack + ~10%
Dynojet -0
Mustang - Reads ~ -12%

But the best is the butt dyno. that's the most accurate one that i go by..
You are in fact correct sir. You probably knew that. Never too late to admit a mistake? The dynojet is the most accurate of the 3.

I just got it tuned yesterday. Running the 100mm pulley. I'll post some more photos and sound clips soon. So far all I can say is that I really like it

Cool. It looks great. HKS brags about the system being light weight. It's so compact and well-fitting. Looks like you've got a pretty clean bay and the green paint probably highlights everything under the hood.
Where'd you install the oil cooler for the sc?
Did you buy their fuel delivery system?

Haha nope... It's running great! I've just been busy with work. Sorry for the late updates.

I didn't use the HKS fuel system... I went with DW600 injectors and an AEM fuel pump.

I ordered an HKS belt. It's a little bit shorter than the Bando belt I'm running now. I'm hoping it will reduce the 1-2sec belt squeak on cold starts

Good to hear. I bet 1/2 of the new version of the HKS owners in the USA are on this forum.

Unfortunately I got sidetracked by two fairly disastrous Lemons 24 races and a 4AGE that can't hold cam timing. Also, I started playing with the Evo and got a GTX3576R for that. The Lexus is sidelined now with bad blowby and an incomplete AEM Infinity so the Z is literally off the agenda for a while.

Plus, I just started shopping for a Trackhawk as a trailer hauler so I've had zero ambition for the Z project

Winter project for the HKS blower. Good luck to the others! My Z will eventually be finished and I would never get rid of it. I purchased it brand new and still have 10k miles on the car so she's a keeper. Just distracted with the Evo for now.

Ditch the toyota and then ditch the evo after you've got the z done. Problem solved.
