I have it on my 350Z DE since 2 years, very well done kit, top quality! I changed the oil type coming with the kit with the "all season" version 12002-AK0230 (which is suitable also for low temp climate) ...only difference I noticed is less S/C wining noise.

I have GTR injectors, Link ecu (G4+ version for 350Z with IAT sensor since I don't run the MAF anymore), 95mm pulley (if I'm not mistaken since I have lot of them sitting on my shelf ), built engine 9.1CR, HKS camshaft 264/264 10.5mm-10.2mm In/Ex, bigger throttle, fuel pressure regulator with return system and other stuff I don't remember .
Anyhow on dyno it was 440hp - 580Nm at crack @ 0.8bar.

I bought the kit from US dealer since it was a very good deal compared to Eu/Jp pricing and since the HKS warranty covers only 1year...so I just went for best price possible. I'm located in Italy by the way

My setup is really similar. Biggest difference is 11:1 compression ratio and E85. Your dyno is lower than I would have expected. I'm hoping for 450whp. In a few weeks I know how it plays out.

Hi! considering that 0.8bar (11-12psi) is not that much....I think 440-450hp at crank are reasonable for this amount of boost. I could have gone higher with boost with pump gas (98-100Ron) since my CR is only 9.1 but my tuner was concerned with the "open block" configuration which is not that reliable (in long term usage) when passing 1bar (15psi).
I should have put the block guard around cylinders or even better new sleeves but the overall cost would have been sooo much higher unfortunately.

I think your set-up could lead to higher hp...... how much boost are you planning to run? With E85 you should be able to manage detonation better than with the pump gas.

Unless your 800+whp no need to worry about the open deck. There is only a small small hand full of people who have any problem with the open deck design of the VQ.

I don't have a 350z,but I'm looking at this 8550/8555 kit per HKS suggestions when I contacted them. Am looking to supercharge my 2GR-FE Toyota Highlander.

Are you running the 100mm or 110mm pulley with this? Also can you provide me with some measurements of the parts,if it's not too much work?

HKS is so sparse with their measurement details and their HKS Usa staff's english is not that clear.

Finally was able to get the car all together and on the dyno with the new supercharger kit and I would say it did relatively well.

Prior to installing the supercharger I was at roughly 242whp and 232tq, with the larger pulley for less boost, as well as the restrictor plate installed I was making 6psi and it dyno'd 321whp and 309wtq. The motor is 100% stock internally, and relatively high mileage.

I'd assume with the restrictor removed it would bump boost up a little, I may do an event or two and shake the car out and then remove the restrictor and throw it back on the dyno to see what it does.

The curve looks really good, it makes a lot of torque down low, starting at about 3000rpm its at 260ft lbs and going up.

I'm excited to get my spare engine to the machine shop and built so I can pop that in and put the higher boost pulley on and see what this thing can really do.

Once I get the dyno graph from the tuner Monday or Tuesday i'll lay it over the previous dyno and post it up.

My man, boost is just a measure of air resistance.

So it will very car to car mod to mod.

Wish i could give you a better answer but i don't own this kind of blower.

If I've read the charts correctly I believe the boost should be around 8 and 12 psi but it's been a while, just contact HKS about it.

I tried to overlay and scale the old N/A dyno with the new 6psi GTS8555 dyno as best I could. As you can see it mimicks the stock power delivery pretty well but just adds a lot of torque and hp everywhere.

Again, this is on a 100% stock engine, their low boost pulley with inlet restrictor making only 6psi, so once I get the built motor in there I'll put the high boost pulley and remove the restrictor and really see what she can do. All in all I think its pretty positive results tho, really great response, and with 6psi it picked up a fair amount of power.

Ok thank you. So then I will choose the 100mm to reach 12 psi. I will install this on my completely optimized engine. Compression 11:1. carillo rods. Jwt camshaft. I hope to reach over 500 hp.
Currently I drive with the engine and a procharger 8psi 450hp engine power

Here is my dyno in wkw. Previous dyno was 530 hp engine power. I think the power level is just right now.

My power related mods are Motordyne tdx2, HFC's, Tomei headers, jwt S2 cams and springs, Wiseco na pistons 11:1 and eagle rods, motordyne 5/16 plenum spacer. I have a ATI damper so I designed a custom pulley with a 1:1 ratio so the blower wouldn't overspin. Boost was only 0,8 bar and I tried to max it out. I'm happy with the performance anyway and don't feel like I would need more power.

Rotrex superchargers are great and tend to sound better than any other supercharger IMO.

HKS is basically silent. I have never heard how a Rotrex unit sounds like in person, but I think it's really similar to the HKS unit.
The largest Rotrex units are capable to produce more power, but I don't think that I need more than I have now. It's a really fun car with 400whp and there are plenty of other areas to improve on.
The Z is stored in good company for the winter with 997.2 GT3, 991 gt3 rs, 911 72' S(T) and Alpine A110.
