Sad part is I just put these in to fix a misfire.... I always put them in and tighten them the same way. I screw them in hand tight then feel the washer crush and go another 1/8th of a turn
Sounds about right, so blue brings up a good point, how much of it is stuck in there? the pic was sorta blurry
The entire threaded section and electrode is still in there. I ran to work to grab my easy out set hopefully those will get it out. Those plugs aren't exactly easy to find either I doubt anyone in town will have them but I still have the previous 2 sets I've changed. I hope that was my misifre issue. It ran fine without load but as soon as about 10psi came in it started breaking up pretty bad.

That is definitely your issue lol. I would never run those again.
If sht really hits the fan and something falls into the cylinder... (first off I'd say move it to tdc before beginning), but a vacuum with a small hose on the end will get whatever you drop out of there. Good luck

Got super lucky and it came right out. It definitely
was my issue haha I just put a used plug in it for now. Im racing in a stick shift noprep this weekend and won't have plugs in time so it's gonna have to work for now.
This is a significant issue on the Ford F150s ... I did spark plugs at 130k circa 2013 and three of my eight plugs were 'seized' in place. Lisle makes a decent tool (very similar to what TT posted up) and I was able to get all three out.
Since then I apply a generous amount of antiseize (on both vehicles)...I also count the number of turns I put on the plug - on my NGKs it's 17 via hand-tighten and then I use the torque wrench...
On my recent change, I dropped down two steps cooler and gap'd them to .028. I believe I will be replacing coils before any significant event as I believe I was missing at high rev / high loads ... I'm considering NGKs coil packs for the VQ - I think they are a solid company. If I can scratch it, I'll see about a higher end option ... After my epic fail FG hatch rescue I really want a dry carbon hatch...
^I just googled them ... I think they are OEM replacements ... nothing special or upgraded...but if they work 'consistently' I'd be happy.
If your replacing coils I would recommend the Hitachi brand from Rock Auto. They were reasonably priced and haven't missed a beat in 2 years in my car.
I'm not married to anything ... I don't know that they are problematic ... I'm replicating the environment - 80 - 90 degrees, medium-high boost(15psi) and high engine speed, medium-high roadway speed and I can't get the problem to come back.
Maybe it was the spark plugs.
$88 isn't bad at all ... I thought Courtesy Parts had them at $120/each...
The NGKs are $400 for the set...
My first run on Day Two, I was coincidently paired with a hellcat (everyone here should know I am not a fan of the hellcat) and he beat me off the line by a solid half to full car... which makes sense ... I have minimal traction and some turbo lag to catch up on...but 40mph I was caught up and pulling on him ... Around 90mph I was well ahead of him and my car missed ... I immediately lifted and the hellcat passed me up ... it was rather disheartening so damn frustrating!!! If it means a new set of coils, consider it done!
I would knock your gap down to .022. and if it was a complete random misfire I doubt it was a coils fault. When coils fail it's "usually" an on/off senario. Also if u hate Hellcats that much I would've stayed in it and taken the win! Lol. I raced a few cars that on paper I shouldn't beat a few weeks ago and even though my car was breaking up I stayed in it to take the W and rub it in the faces of the 800+hp domestic V8's that I just drug there asses on 5 cylinders hahaha. The will to win was to strong to get out of it.
I think I will ... I pulled my heat range 6 plugs and I still need to adjust my fuel trims in the haltech ... I might run these a few more times on the car and see how they look, drop the gap to the .022 and she how she does.
I'm too big of a puss, and I'm hyper sensitive to listening to the car. I have too much in my setup to pop it over a dumb dodge! The car was bogging down and I don't even know if it'd have run if I stayed on the gas...
On the way back to the pits, I can only imagine the hellcat guy felt pretty lame that he beat me off the line and then got walked on ...
I smile... dodge just released the Hellcat Redeye (which is 797hp / 707tq) and they make zero comment about it dropping weight...if they could get that car down to 3600lbs and 18" lightweight wheels it'd be a wrecking crew.
I further smile bc I can add ~200hp to my setup and still drop another 150-200lbs
