Default Pre-DTC Update Osiris

Hello everyone,

I need the osiris uprev rom editor before the DTC update. I tried using this link however it has not worked running it as admin. I need to turn off code P1283 (not sure if i remember currently but basically rich shift bank 2 sensor 1). I tried tuning it out and searching for exhaust leaks (Powerlab g35 6mt) however am unsuccessful.

If anyone would be willing to give me a solution to this problem-- I would greatly appreciate it. I tried to use 'Fuel target lookup delay' (in osiris) and it worked for P1273 (lean shift bank 1 sensor 1).

If someone would be willing to email me the software-- please shoot me a pm. Or maybe tuning advice on how to get rid of this? I have emissions due at the end of the month and am running out of ideas at this point.

Thank you

OldManZ I need to disable the code from coming back-- not to clear the code.

I have an obd II scanner and the uprev osiris can do this as well. The 2016 Uprev can disable codes from existing from my understanding. Hence why I am asking for such software.

Thanks

Does UpRev software no longer allow you to disable various DTC? I have not used it in years since switching to the Haltech, but it used to (have you called UpRev?). That said, if you disable DTC then instead of tripping a CEL, you will show "not ready" for that OBD test. Some states allow 1 "not ready", others allow 2. Just saying, it's a pain even if you have the working software.

@rcdash

Yes, they removed that feature late november 2016 I believe. However, if i were to disable P1283 code this should not prevent me from passing my inspection. This code pertains to lean shift bank 2 sensor 1. If it were for the catalytic converter itd be a different story.

Yes, I see that now. What I ended up doing for the time being is clearing long term fuel trims-- set fuel lookup target delay to absurdly large value and will be driving like a grandma till cat show ready for inspection. Hopefully this prevents P1283 code from showing.

I had her taken apart other week, and since the kit is off a 350z it doesn't fit the g35 properly (made some modifications, heating bending, etc etc) and of course is a pain to work with.

Thanks for your input

The FSM has specific driving patterns that needs to occur to set the readiness monitors. I remember having to do this to pass inspections, trying to get it to show ready without tripping a CEL. Thank goodness my county got rid of emissions testing. Good luck!

@rcdash thank you

maybe you have some tuning tips to resolve this? So far only thing I can think of is cylinder trims, fuel delay target, and possible advancing timing-- otherwise I am lost.

I may just end up reregistering the car under a different name or asking for extension.

I am kicking myself about this because the car was ready 2 weeks ago-- I should've went the next day-- but I held off till the weekend. That is when the code popped up (it has been reoccuring but typically after 400 miles or so)...

My turbo Z does not trip any o2 codes without cats. Add o2 extenders and stay out of boost until is readies and get it inspected

@iideadeyeii

This isn't a code for o2 codes. It is lean SHIFT bank 2, and/or rich SHIFT bank 1. in other words, code P1273 and P1283.
I have the o2 extenders installed already.

Hence, why I was asking about the tune...

Those ARE o2 codes. Stay out of boost and they shouldn't appear if you have proper afr. I run right stoich out of boost with low throttle.

Sorry you're correct-- I meant to communicate something else.

Are you twin turbo or single?

I have this irritating feeling its because I have the bank 2 sensor in the downpipe...
