couldnt agree more! those lines pinch pretty easy ... find a male to female 90degree bend!! Or get a longer hose with a 90* bend installed. That $20 hose can ruin your build!

Hey Folks...

Quick update.
  • fixed SC oil line
  • ran oil dump
  • installed SC piping
  • started wrapping the car matte white
  • worked on some door car artwork
  • worked on some hood artwork (wrap emboss)
  • Installed radiator front.
  • Bought a cheap tablet with an OBD scanner for realtime stats

Left to do:
  • Install intercooler
  • Install oil cooler
  • Install front bumper
  • Fluids
  • Buy aftermarket fenders
  • Buy spoiler/wing (Having a hard time finding one I really like)
  • Buy some seats
  • Finish wrapping

Shes almost ready to start up. Just have to install intercooler, oil cooler, and ECU.

Hello Friends...

Another super productive weekend. Check it out.

Snagged a great deal on some seats via offer up.

Found a mounting spot for the oil cooler. Thanks for the help James. Sitting right behind the fog light vent.

Mounted with brackets. Checking for clearance.

Rear turn signal delete!

Clear coating all the black bits.

Decided to upgrade the PS cooler while I was mounting the intercooler.

PS cooler lines.

Need some quick help here please if anyone can...

I made some AN lines last night for the oil cooler.

This is what my sandwich plate looks like.

Can someone tell me which port should go to the port on the top of the cooler. Keep in mind I am mounting it vertically. (see pic above)

Big update:

I have the entire engine in the car and completely assembled. I reached out to a local tuner named Martin Struk (he tuned Adam LZs Zroy) and is the VQ champ round these parts.
He flashed the ECU for me and I plopped it in. Got the car to turn over and it runs for about 4 seconds. Exhaust pops a few times and then it dies. It is getting spark and fuel.
The pressure gauge on my fuel regulator spikes up to 70 when i start the fuel pump. At first I thought it was old gas so I added 5 gallons of 93. No luck.

I am getting some errors... But I don't think they are stopping the car from running. I think I may have broke the sensor installing the fuel pump. I have a backup one that I will transfer it to.

I am thinking it might be something with the throttlebody not opening. Not sure though will need to troubleshoot. Anyone have any thoughts?

Getting close! Thanks.

Sorry to deviate for a moment, but have you had the chance to really feel these out yet? I'm considering getting a set of FX1s or DFXs. The only problem is that the only shop near us that has them is up in New Port Richey (or the general area) and doesn't have either of those models. I was curious on your feedback of them.

Sorry, OldmanZ350, I just realized they're in Tarpon Springs, not NPR. That still is not too far given that the next closest store near us that carrys them is in Fort Myers or Pompano Beach.

The store is called Suncoast Speed and Customs and is located at 440 S. Pinellas Ave., Tarpon Springs, Florida 34685.

According to the email I got from Corbeau they are listed to carry the A4s, the RRS, and the Baja RS.

Alright guy. Good news! It's running!

On a side note.
I am an idiot. I had the charge pipe backwards and the MAF sensor was killing the engine. My tuner mate spotted it after I changed the plenum and TB twice.

On another good note all the CELs are clear and she idles good except the exhaust is popping a lot. Blown mufflers? I think it's a cheap ebay exhaust (came with the car).
The header baking smoke freaked me out for a bit.
Have a small leak in the oil cooler AN line so will need to redo that bit.

Had another super productive weekend on the build. A couple of hangups.
I could not bleed the clutch for the life of me. I read every single post and watched every video. I even have the motiv powerbleeder. So I finally just ended up taking the master cylinder off because i wasted a good 5 hours trying to bleed the car. Look like it is shot so I am putting in a new one.

I picked up some cheap ICE on FB and I am doing a complete radio delete and just running a single 4ch amp in the trunk connected to bluetooth. I started painting the trunk with black bedliner they sell in a can. The blue doesn't go with my scheme hehe.

Got a SICK deal on some rims that are perfect fitment. Had to drive a bit to go get em but well worth it.

I want to wire a little ground and power distribution block behind the center console so I can easily add lights or USB or guages in the future. I need some advice here. In my chart below I am running a relay that is turned on via the antenna ACC (which I don't need). The radio is fused so I dont need an inline fuse. Is this a sound setup? Or am I better off just tapping the ignition wire and running an inline fuse. I plan on charging a tablet and running some incabin lights and adding a few gguages. I installed an AFR guage this weekend. Any thoughts on this setup?
