Default Boost on stock nissan oem ring gap

Im trying to do a mostly stock turbo build only looking for about 400 hp i was planning to only run about 8 pounds at most but dont now if the stock ring gap would be fine to run it on

DE or HR? Plenty of people running that boost on stock motors of both.

You wont have issues at 400hp mark - good question. Plenty of people have pushed their stock setup further than that without issue.

I think Tim Hampton (OldManZ) was pusing close to 550hp on a stock block (albeit very low torque number comparatively) and did fine.

8psi in not a Problem on a stock motor.

I ran 15-20psi for about 40,000miles @ 577/445 on race Gas.

Then the Rods finally bend after all the abuse.

Tim,
when you tore-down the engine did you find any abnormal cylinder wall wear (due to ring gaps)?

NO, The Motor Looked pretty much like New, except for the Bent Rods
