To EGT or not to EGT, that is the question.
My installer is telling me that I really don't need an EGT since I now decided on a Wideband Sensor.
I would like to get a second opinion....what do you guys think?
Is it ok to skip on the EGT if you have a wideband?

With the wideband o2 sensor you will not need an EGT. The EGT gives out exhaust gas temp and you can then extrapolate the a/f after you tune on a wideband. So with an EGT you will need to know what your A/F is at what temp.
The wideband o2 is pretty much telling you your a/f.

Look at a techedge or fjo wideband. For the money they are great and you won't be dissapointed because you can datalog with each. These are totally different from the autometer because that one is narrow band and is not even in the same class ( the reason for the price difference). You get what you pay for. Don't take the chance with this motor... big $$$ to fix.
