F/I now or later?
Lots of turbo and supercharger kits either just out or coming out soon. I have decided that I will wait another 6 months to a year to see how it all pans out and let everyone else work out the bugs before I make my F/I decision. I think that is sufficient time to get lots of end user feedback and reliablility information, as well as correct tuning and setup issues. Should see a lot more dyno results on some of the coming out soon kits too.
Just curious if I was the only one thinking this way or if this is the "gotta have it right now" forum.

i'm also waiting to see how our high compression engine holds up with FI. if it doesn't than will either do a complete engine build up with low compression FI setup or do an engine swap to a GTR based solution or if the new GTR ever shows up may just swap cars
Well, somebody had to be the first person to buy the ATI kit and have it blow up. Somebody had to be the first to increase the boost on the Greddy kit and see the car go into limp mode. Somebody had to be the first buy the Vortech kit start modifying the R4 maps.
My philosophy is that there have to be people who are willing to be the "lab rats" for this stuff or our forum never gets the "end user feedback and reliability information" that you so desire. Please consider my decision to go FI now rather than later as a public service to you and the other members of this forum rather than as a sign of impatience on my part.

Steve,
I totally agree we must have people willing to take the risks for the rest of us. You guys are true leaders, born heros, the cream of the crop! Yea, though I walk through the valley of forced induction, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rods and thy pistons they comfort me. For those about to rock, We salute you!

Gotta wait at least for the factory warranty to expire first...and plus gives you more time to save.

It helps not to buy the extended warranty in the first place. I knew I would cancel it in a matter of months, so why bother.
