Wow..I am surprised your clutch went so easily...I got 388 ponies and dumped it on slicks @5000 rpms and no slip....I pulled a 1.79 60 ft on that run with a 12.4@111.9..I consistantly pull 12.6 @112's now with soft launches around 3000 rpms and a sliding off the clutch so nicely....Heres a lint to a video of me launching it at 3300 rpms on ET streets...http://www.**********.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=364

It isn't the first defective OS Giken. And my point is, The turbos have that or close to that at 3K-3.5K. It comes earlier like oh say, launch RPM. Turbos hit it harder.

Yeah, but Daking just said he cut a 1.8 60' which would be much harder on the drivetrain than a 2.4.

Still could be a one off mechanical problem with that specific clutch though.

Edit: Sorry, it was AgentOrange with the 2.4 60'. M3 had the wheel hop, which definitely can add very large amounts of shock load to the drivetrain, and that maybe is why the clutch went when it otherwise wouldn't have.

Oh do not know if M3 used an OSG. But Skidazzle does and it failed too. A slipping clutch after you let it out can certainly be the cause of a 2.4 60'. Either way.
