bigern1970,
First and foremost...chill with the CAPS. Second, I am waiting for the JWT TT kit for the 350Z as well. Any word on CARB certification? Price? Release date? I tried to call them and was on hold forever so I hung up. JWT is very reputable among the Z community. The JWT TT should be one of the best FI options on the market when it comes out.

Sorry for the caps. I just got in from putting on my eibach springs and I split my pinky wide open( blood everywhere. The system is in its final stages , going through the certification should be availabel by summer according to Jim , it funny cause I actually waiting for a rep when I was there and waited for like 10 min, finally a guy comes up to me asking me about my 20 inch wheels , telling me how much he like them , I asked him if he worked there and sure enough it was Jim himself, he went into so much detail and was patient the system i saw was on a g35, very nice. Sorry for the caps and thanks for the hit- Big Ern ( price around 6,800.00)
I guess it's gonna be in the Greddy TT price range.
I still think PE is superb. It has the veyr best intercooler on the market as well as superb IHI/PE super-fast spooling turbos.

I just can't wait for my TT, 2 weeks!!!

Yeah, I'm holding out for this too! It's between the Ultimate Racing kit and the JWT kit for me right now. Greddy seems okay, but I really like the dual intercoolers on the JWT that look like they would fit perfectly in the G35 front end. On the other hand, Ultimate Racing claims to have a good fuel management system...wait...wait...keep telling myself to wait.

Oh, and it's nice to hear it's already installed in a G35 - we seem to be a distant second to the 350Z boys on the list for new mods, so I'm happy to see that both kits will be available at the same time for a change. Way to go JWT!
JWT is definatly causing me to wait. Since his kit sounds like it is going to be in the ballpark of the other kits out there, in my mind it will come down to who has the best engine management solution. Since JWT is only about 30 minutes from my house, it gives them the advantage at this point. Everything they have done in the past has been top notch, so its worth waiting in my mind.
Doing the G35 first is interesting. I would think there would be a bigger market on the Z side. But at least they will blow up G35s first and have the bugs worked out before we get the kit for our cars.

When you saw the setup , did you note how the exhaust manifold was designed? Was it cast iron. I would shy away from stainless welded manifolds since they are always known to thermal stress fracture over time. As ugly as it looks, cast iron is still the most reliable/issue free material for turbo manifolds (ie the Greddy method).
Also did the kit provide a BOV? From the pics it looks like there is one but not sure?
I am looking at this setup (for G35C) primarily due to the quick spooling BBTs and the twin ICs. They appear that tol fit up front witout the typical removal of the front aluminum bumper beam.
Did you see this to be the case?
Thanx

Well, if you have seen anything from Japan, the G35 is actually a Nissan Skyline GT350. This being said, it is only right that it have a TT kit. But I have no patience whatsoever and want the JWT TT kit for my Z.

The TT kit for the Z won't be out till Fall sometime though. I stopped by last week to ask about it. G35 in summertime, Z in the fall. So, add a little to the wait.
They said they are working on fine tuning the ECU mainly....here's to hoping they get it dialed in quickly.

well that time frame is pretty irritating. I would definitely think that the Z would come first. If I had to guess I'd say that there is some high interest in at Nissan for the kit to some aspect. The Z market is so much larger. I don't know if I am going to be able to wait that long
.
From build quality I'd say JWT has the edge. I am wondering from a performance standpoint if there really is a hufe difference? I guess time will tell but man... fall????
Oil return... what's the importance? Duel intercooler, what's the significance? turbo versus turbo, what would be the big difference? any application differences we can call on given the type of turbos in the greddy and the ones in JWT's??
Man... Greddy, Vortech, Dreamworks (sounds more like pipedreams). I guess the big thing to be thankful for is options.

For those who don't know the diff, the Garret 530 turbos in this JWT kit are "ball bearing units" as opposed to the typical "sleeve bearings units" found in the Greddy units. The benefit of BBs are a lower boost threshold , lower lag , and less spool down between shifts.
The benefit of dual intercollers is mostly a G35 benefit, since it places the intercoolers behind the two vent openings already provided in the factory G35 bumper. For the Z this is less an issue, since it has a huge central operning already.
Also the dual IC arrangement should allow the factory front aluminum bumper beamto be retained. The kit appears to be a great "stealth / OEM looking " arrangement. THis is what I am looking for . For the those bent on a full race tilt, internal mods and >500hp it may not be optimum setup..
IMO
